New to the site.

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to put this so if I am out of order then my apologies. I have recently joined the site and published a couple of stories. I have now got some followers but my question is, what do you do with them? Are you able to communicate with them or them with you? Is it good manners to automatically follow them back? Message them and thank them? I don't know what the protocol is so I am asking for guidance. I did follow one follower in return but that appeared to be it. If it is just a measure of judging the popularity of your story then fair enough, I didn't want to appear rude by not following site etiquette.

It's upto you if you want to follow them , then do it
If not don't,
No one will question you about it !
If you want to thank them
Then send a message and thank them

Just be free abd enjoy

There's no point following someone with no content - if you follow someone you get notified whenever they release a new story.

I personally would only follow someone whose content I liked and wanted to see more of. I always check out a new follower, but most are readers only, not authors.
