A very wet week ahead and slowly cooling as it is officially fall. We have been in a drought. The rain is good for the plants and trees. Some trees had leaves turn brown and fall.

That can change over the course of a season. They are calling yesterday's game the Block Party because of the blocked field goals. It was nice to see the possible winning field goal blocked after watching so many games won in the last second by a field goal. I was ready for the loss and then! Jordan Davis for the TD!

I made lemon bars today. What a pain in my ass! I chose a recipe from someone whom I've used recipes from in the past. Supposed to be "easy." Yeah, right!

The crust looked way too wet when I first stirred it up so I ended up adding more flour and sugar to it.

Then I had to zest all 6 of my lemons and juice them. I got a new juicer thingie and realized I was doing it wrong after I had juiced 2 lemons. The recipe called for the juice of 4 lemons but also 1 cup. My 6 lemons still did not equal 1 cup. Thank goodness I have some ReaLemon in the fridge.

It took me more time to prep this than it does for me to make cheesecake! The only reason I made them was because lemon is my trainer's favorite flavor.

Once I got it into the oven, it looked like a bomb had gone off in my kitchen. Every surface was dirty and sticky, including the floor! I loaded the dishwasher, wiped down the counters and cabinets, and washed the floor while it was baking.

It's still cooling but this is how it came out. I'm going to sift powdered sugar on it so it looks pretty then pack them in a container.

I'll post another pic after I cut it.

Over the years I did projects in bakeries, mostly Pillsbury. They have a test kitchen. I gained weight everytime I did a project at one of their plants.

Hey everyone — glad to be part of this community. I wanted to share something I’ve been struggling with and see if anyone’s open to talking.

My fiancée and I recently started a new lifestyle where she’s seeing another man. At first it felt exciting because she keeps me involved and honest about everything they do. I actually liked being part of it. But over time I’ve noticed their connection getting stronger, and that’s brought up a lot of mixed feelings. On one hand it still excites me; on the other, I feel insecure and a little threatened about where this might go.

It’s been weighing on me and making me feel pretty lonely — I don’t really have anyone in my personal life I can talk to about this. So I figured I’d put it out here. If anyone’s willing to chat or share similar experiences, I’d really appreciate talking through DMs. Thanks for reading.

I can’t give you any firsthand advice, because we are not swingers, although we’ve had discussions about it.

Anyway, can you talk to your fiancé about it? From what I’ve read, really strong communication is key to this I think telling her the products of it being exciting, but also lonely would be a good thing to communicate.

My dad used to make lemon pie. I recall it was not made often just special occasions probably for the same reasons- messy and lots of grating. I think I will stick with apple pie or preach crisp.

I am a fan of lemon. But apple pie, apple crisp and peach crisp ALL sound delicious to me!

This is my week…gotta start a new workout regime…ugh…the docs are up one side and down the other. So, off for three mile walk, which needs to turn into five. I hate gyms…I really need me one of them farm gyms like Wonderer has…word on the street is they keep you in shape.

The official Oktoberfest kickoff was last Freitag or Samstag I think…so your MZ will reflect

My nephew made roll out cookies and told me he was upset because his brothers ate them all up but never helped in the making....

I told him now you know how it feels to be the baker of xmas cookies and i gave him tips on how to store/hide so he doesmt have to make 4 mire times for the season
