My problem with these was always the milk. You still have to get out of bed to get the milk.

In the 70s your bedroom was bollock cold and you could trust a bedside jug of milk would be good in the morning

We only had central heating put in in the early 80s. Did have life saving electric blankets though.

God storage heaters in a new build. That’s the builder being cheap.

Yes. Was about 100 years old. I was the third owner. No insulation either. Place must have been freezing esp as it had holes in the roof which must have been recent as no real water damage.
