How many people actually use a phone to write?

I'm no good trying to use a phone to capture anything but the odd idea, before it leaves my head. To be able to type something fast enough for a story I need a laptop, otherwise the story I'm picturing runs faster than my word count, and I lose track of the flow.

I use both. Sometimes I'm away from the home lappy and all I got is my phone.

And that plot bunny is kicking and screaming to get out of my head. But at least she's cute 🄰

Google docs, PC, for me. I prefer 8 fingers on keyboard over 2 thumbs or one tapping index finger on a touch screen. I can write way wayyy wayyy faster on a keyboard than I can on a phone.

I don't because I can barely type a three word text without messing it up. I do know people that do, and some that actually manage to add advanced formatting and html tags and stuff. In my mind, that borders on deification.

I can type really fast on anything, so sometimes I do use my phone if I'm away from home. I write in Google Docs and back it up in Scrivener when I get home. I think my personal record is 2300 words in 30 minutes on a phone, lol.

I type much faster & more accurately on a full-size keyboard. A touchscreen ups my error rate, and a small screen decreases both accuracy & speed. I know fast phone-typers, they definitely exist, but I ain't one.

Finally someone realises I'm in fact the Goddess of Lit.

Just worship me and the world will become a better place.
Financial donations particularly appreciated...

I use GD on iOS close to exclusively. I used to use Word365 on iOS until it started mixing my work and personal documents 😱.
