Official Crime and Punishment 2025 Story Event Support Thread

Since this challenge is for stories, and I am a poet, I just submitted my prose for this challenge, with the description 'Crime and Punishment'

From my past experience (Born to Run challenge), my prose, Jungleland Dreams, stayed in the pending queue for weeks until I deleted it.

Anyway, when it posts, I hope you will read it.

Speaking of Crime and Punishment, I just watched Crime and Punishment U.S.A. a movie adaptation of the novel, set in Santa Monica, CA in 1959-ish. It features the beat of the time, as in Beat Nick's and the intellectual arguments spawned by them. It hit most of the points in the novel and I think, though I haven't actually read the novel, was respectful to it. I enjoyed the movie and now may read the novel, if I ever get the time.

LOL. All you early birds. I just submitted mine Sunday evening 11.38pm

"A Good Year for the Roses"

Well the timing is opportune and I need a break so here goes:

"Sydney Chiang - Class Tease" - Teasing your Teacher is a Crime

And all I can say is, it changed a LOT while I was writing it! It started out a light-hearted class tease story and somehow Sydney took over the writing. LOL. She's not at all what I expected.

DEFINITELY the Elvis Costello version

The stories are out! Fingers still crossed that the late entries get added later. Congratulations all and thank you @soflabbwlvr for this fun event! There's some great reading there (how will we ever keep up...)

This is always one of my favourite events each year to write for so, thank you. Looking forward to reading some of the other entries.

Oh, no! Mine's still pending.

It's fine, I rushed this one for the deadline so now I have a good reason for pulling it and giving it more time.

I've been itching for an excuse to pull it. I started this one 9 days ago so it didn't get a chance to sit for a couple of weeks before I had to start revising. Usually it takes me a month.

Ugh!! I just saw this thread. I have crime stories already written that I could have submitted. Oh, well. I guess I need to log in to Literotica more often!! :(
