It's a sad state of affairs. Kids don't know how to regulate their feelings. Before everyone had guns, they would just fight it out. Now everyone is armed. They feel disrespected and pull out a gun.

The house did look cool. I love old houses. But some of the other stuff would skeeve me out!

I think just the roof leak would skeeve me. Not that I couldn't get totally spooked, but I think just the roof leak would have me noping out of a stay.

From what W showed, the place doesn't look so far gone that it's former glory can't still be seen if you squint a bit.

Lots of societal disconnects. Used to be you knew your neighbors and would start with a talk. Didn't always work, but that was where you started. Pulling a fist, knife, gun was many more steps down the line. Sad really.

I had a friend that was on a destroyer in WW II. His ship was hit by a kamikaze at the battle of Okinawa. It was not a bad hit and parts of the plane were taken by a machinist and made into rings. He had one and wore it all the time.

Now that's a souvenir!! Holy !!

Was going to take a little car trip down to Charleston to get SWMBO out of the house. She’s been cooped up and having to mentally juggle our various med issues. She’s getting…frayed around the edges. I tried to send her on the Big-Ol’-Jet airliner back to TX, but there’s just more drama there so she hard passed.

Hope you find a nice, relaxing trip for the both of you. Good call to avoid more drama.

6mm ARC. It's wunna them new-fangled car-trigges what they came out with a few years back. It's supposed to work in your AR but the uppers in that caliber are a bit scarce as of yet. This is a wee bolt gun made by the same outfit that build Weatherby's Vanguard guns for them. It's Guitar George - it's got all the chords.

Thursday we poked around PA after our haunted house experience. Then went due north to Lake Erie. They went along the shoreline all the way to Buffalo and to niagra falls.

Was never a bucket list thing but it was super impressive!

I like this video of the false and if you look close enough, there are a bunch of Canadian geese just hanging out right on the edge of the falls!

Then we went about 2 1/2 hours east to visit a friend of mine from work near Rochester, New York.

We drove 400 miles today. Checked out the Grand Canyon of NY state which was well worth it! Even more dramatic than the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania!

We had awesome buckwheat pancakes in Penn Yan NY…
