Probably the way it was supposed to. What I learned was how to make surface friends quickly.

I have three books going right now, and that makes me wonder if I will start a 4th before finishing one of them.


This happens kinda regularly.

I've done this. Right now, it seems I don't have the concentration to keep up with more than one. My attention span won't support it.

A busy day I think. An early morning grocery run, call with my sister and then walk and lunch with friends.

Holy hell - the HS reunion was decent.

There’s a reason I know people and stay in touch with them. I don’t believe in phony friends or people who will say “let’s do something” and never do.

But the after party was a metric fuckton of fun. Home at 3am.

Really slow day today. Pounding headache most of the night last night, and whatever was in my head and neck worked it's way south. Still managed to get the last string of lights in the garage put up, and a just a little bit more rearranging done. Then an afternoon nap.

Now it's a slow evening. Probably not good time for a nap, but that sure would feel good right now.

Day one of vacation.

Travelled to my sisters and went on a hike. Tomrrow is a few museums and hikes.

Day two is scranton.

We’re taking US6 across the entire state of PA from port Jervis to Erie.

I’m sorry wonderful bar patrons, but I likely won’t be able to keep it up.

Everything going well noor... how is your mom?

Relatively well. She is plugging away at pt and ot. It’s hard to get her to rest like she’s supposed to though.
She is scared being without my dad.
We were able to leave her home alone for about an hour yesterday without any falls or catastrophes, so things are slowly improving.
I have no idea what will happen in the future and we are still waiting for my dad’s death certificate.
We all miss him, it’s hard.

It does get better with time. My Mum took a little time to adjust after Dad died but went on to have a really contented couple of years afterwards, arguably among her happiest.
