You need to read the room.
There are plenty of places where coming in guns blazing like that might work, but it seems quite obvious to me that this is not the place. Nor the lady.
Her post is classy and poignant, and what she is looking for is eloquently stated. An attempt to get to know her better would likely be received much better.
