Who is the best Literotica author to have never won a comp (special or monthly)?

I can’t imagine anyone would nominate me, but can we kill that bad idea dead, OK? I don’t want to be nominated. This isn’t meant to be an ego trip for me.

Instead it’s intended as encouragement for those who are feeling a little down after the Summer Lovin’ result. And a suggestion that you are in good company.

While nominating me is prohibited, self-nomination will be tolerated, if accompanied by suitable self-deprecation

I don't pay attention to the comps, so I don't know who hasn't won.

I do know a few of the have wons though, cause I pay attention in the forum, or rather I have been, for most of this year. But there's a lot of time before this year and several authors have been contesting longer than I've been around!

Not as far as I know, but my knowledge is kinda parochial. A blue W in their portfolio is a clue. Or you can look at the contest schedule and follow the links.

Obviously you have to enter a contest to place

You have to be nominated for the annuals-when they were a thing

And the monthly winners were automatic based on highest scores for the month, back when they were a thing.

I have no idea. I interpreted Emily's question to encompass authors who hadn't necessarily entered the contest, but maybe she only meant those who had.

I don't know that he ever entered a special contest. I did check his catalog and there are no blue Ws. That surprised me. I thought his Time to Breath won something.

Well, seeing as the monthly ones don't seem to have taken place since 2023, probably some new writers that have sprung up since then.

Sugarstorm has had several (4?) stories that hit number 1 in LS, so would almost certainly have won a monthly competition if they were still going. She only started publishing this year.

PennyThompson and HelenL too, I'd say.

Of longer-established writers, I can't believe CreatingKate has never won anything.

There's probably loads more I could mention...

I don't read much here nowadays, but I'll nominate @Devinter. It's probably no secret that I've always admired his imagination and his ability to create a macabre mood in his stories.

Okay, you're right. I started a thread not long ago about how wonky lit has been on my PC. I just went back again and clicked show all and nothing happens; it doesn't even buffer, so I thought that was it.

Makes more sense that she'd have won something over the years. Thanks

It seems there’s only one win because the fairy who decides who’s gonna win had her reasons.

Have you tried updating your browser or checking with another one? Disabling extensions?

Well, there's a lot of sketchy things that happen in contests, all of them if you follow them close enough.

I had issues with a few sites, but now it only seems to be here. If I restart my PC everything here is fine for a few hours, then things start going wonky again, either no response to clicking links or they go to these broken fragment type pages. I need to get Tech support, AKA my wife, to get a look at it.
