There are 9-1/3 pages, about 70 stories each, for Sept 7-10, in the New Stories folder right now. That's 160+ stories published per day, average, over those 4 days.

It's estimated that they receive around 200-250 submissions per day on average.

I wonder if they are concentrating on the shorter works, to clear the backlog, and letting larger ones like mine sit.

I'm not in the control room, so I can't tell you for sure, but I've heard that longer stories take longer to approve, just because there's more to check.
