There has to be some contemplation, bargaining, seduction, when it comes to sex to make it steamy. If one wants to read about a married couple’s thousandth time of having sex where they just follow a routine they’ve built for years, I guess that’s fine. But give me a young woman who is exploring things with her best friend, her father, brother, sister, mother, boyfriend, husband, boss, or their husband’s boss, friend, etc. Sure sex is the ideal end but have her slowly give in to this exploration and I think that’s what people want to read about, what they want to play.
