404 Error

Hello, I tried to publish a story & all I can see is 404 Error ???
What is this ???

404 is the generic error web servers send if you try to go to an address that doesn't exist.

General suggestion: if you can tell people exactly what went wrong, they are more likely to know how to deal with it.

I submitted a story & it said it was successfully submitted awaiting approval ????
Does not appear to be published ???

It's awaiting approval. Laurel, the moderator, will look at it and decide whether to actually publish it. When the status is "Scheduled" you know it was approved.

Was it later published? I got the 404 error as well and it’s my first story,

As far as I know it has not been punlished yet ????
I was told it has to be read & accepted by the admin …. No timeline was given ??
Not sure why they would post a 404 Error instead of just saying Under Consideration ….. Im only guessing they will notify me if its published ???

It’s the 404 error that really bothers me. It’s hard to wait when i don’t even know if the submission went through.

But since we’re both facing similar issue, im guessing we did nothing wrong and it’s a problem from their servers or something.

And there’s nothing to do but wait.

Is that what you see when you try to look for it in your Works page in your Lit Control Panel?

Is that what you see when you click on the story’s title in your Pending list?

When I click on story’s title.

For the first few days it showed awaiting moderator’s approval or something like that, then later 404 error

Do you still see it in your Pending list? You’ll know when it gets published because it will move from Pending to Published. Or, to Sent Back, if that’s the outcome.

Still, the 404 error is weird and it could be worth it to report a bug. Be really clear in the bug report so that they’ll know where you’re seeing the error. Probably include the title of the story and what page you’re on when you see and click the title.
