Had you, you would know that Trump didn't order the Navy to shoot down any aircraft. He glanced over at the general/admiral and told them they or their captains could decide to respond. It wasn't an order to shoot them down, duffus; they were told they could make a decision. They always have that as an actionable item in any scenario.

Furthermore he produced Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan, The Pacific (USMC), Mssters of the Air, all of which positively highlight the US WW2 involvement.
