The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Second day on the hill today and we had three types of weather. First it rained., then it rained heavily, then it absolutely pissed it down. So wet for about eight hours and working on wet grass, heather and scree and a lot of climbing…. But it was warm and the dogs worked well! So it was a great day!
Sounds like an amazing day!

Today was a project day. I'm in the midst of sorting mounds of old paper. Some of it can be recycled but some needs to be shredded. So I had a sort and shread party today.

Then, a bowl of homemade cherry pie filling was yelling at me from the fridge to do something with it. So, I made these. Cherry pie bars on a shortbread crust. 😋

You all sleep tight tonight! Europe and Africa are waking up! 💞✨💖

Good morning denizens of the greasy spoon.

The weather keeps getting chilly. It rained and we have clouds so it’s in the 50s this morning.

I’m taking grandchildren to daycare. I am feeling really much better. I’m ready for the day.

Take care of yourself today.
Thanks and Likewise, B2!
Take care and be good to yourself as well!

Thank you! 😘 I just use my phone camera. It has 100 X zoom. I don't use a tripod, although I did buy one. I just get these freehand.
That’s an amazing freehand! I think you missed your calling as a surgeon!🤣

Inspired by your lunar pix, I went to the Oracle (U-toob) and started watching Celestial Vids w cameras. What a black hole that was, but I did come out of the other end and found two kids that got me on the right track w the same model of camera I have.

We had supper at mommas so the boys and I went out and took some shots. The first batch were with my 14-60 lens, and that didn’t bring the white orb in. Switched to a 55-210 zoom and that was the ticket. Got some passable shots, but they need some LR editing to post.

I’ve never shot in Manual mode w this digital camera so the learning curve was steep. This little lunar jaunt forced me to figure out some of the ins and outs of this camera, so thank you Lili! I spent all afternoon trying to figure out how to move the f-stop?! Turns out it was a black wheel hidden at the top of the camera! Not on the lens like in the old days. Who knew?

Anyhoo…it was fun and now I feel confident to use the Man setting some more. I like to blur running water shots etc…

Here is MZ, shot w a iPhone 7 in ‘16…not going post the data because…it’s just an iPhone shot and nobody cares!🤣
