I would love to find something like Firefly, Jericho (guess it's not really scifi), Terra Nova, Babylon 5, hell even syfys version of Battlestar Galactica was good if you forget the pilot completely. Don't have apple tv, but the stuff on prime, Hulu, Disney+ and paramount leave much to be desired.... Really only keep them for my family, I don't find much there I like (that I haven't watched to death), I just need to find another good cooking show to get addicted too lol.

rogue one is AMAZING. the newer 3 movies were just ok, though the first one was the best of the lot for sure.
the tv shows, andor is...well...fucking AMAZING. otherwise theyve been hit and miss, mostly miss albeit with some good episodes or acting or whatever but sometimes just one or two plotlines or choices ruined something or other.

yes, I am a big fan of firefly.

good cooking show...ever watch great british baking show (avail on netflix)? its actually really good.
 
as far as sci-fi goes otherwise...i give two insanely big thumbs-up to the red rising book series (pierce brown is the author).
the first book is great and its by far the worst book of the lot. theres 6 books written out of 7, with the final one coming in 2026.
another user on here and i talk about it periodically.

i listen to one of the podcasts about it too.
its also being optioned for a tv show, and theres a comic for it too.


arcane is kind of sci-fi and i dont play league of legends, but its a really good tv show with a helluva cast of ppl that you might know/recognize. super cool art as well. thumbs up from me.
 
I have Red Rising on my TBR list, several friends have recommended it.

I think one of the challenges of modern society is our media is so fragmented it's tough to find things that can be universally shared across our families, friendship groups, or peer groups. Could just be me being nostalgic for when we all watched the same channels or listened to the same radio stations (FM or AM).

Quick jog to your car, hope in and drive the 15 min to my place.
Out of breath, but playing it nonchalantly, you knock on the door.
"Hey" you say. "It's me."
Bzzzzzzz
The door unlocks and I buzz you in.
You calm down and walk slowly to my apartment door and knock.
"Come in!" you hear me yell.
You open the door and say "Kit?"
You smell coffee just being made in the kitchen and start to walk that way but you see me peek from around the bedroom door wearing only a big t-shirt.
"Hey..." you say.
I give you a look and sweetly say "hi".
I lift up my shirt quick to flash you...and you see no panties, no bra, just me.
"Fuck..." you let out and chase me into the bedroom.
I let out a yelp, a squeal, and hop onto my bed.
I look at you and grin evilly.
"I took extra special time to clean up this morning..." I say, evilly.
"Wait, what does that mean?" you say.
I wink and then get on all fours while taking off my t-shirt.
I wiggle my ass at you.
"Fucking hell..." you exclaim.

Glad your pupper did well.
Just glad to be home, but I dislike the temperature spikes up here.
Late 50' in the morning, close to 90 by noon.
Wish Mother Nature would make up her mind. ;)
