Sitcoms bug me. They're atrocious to sit through...with minute exceptions. The last "situational comedy" I chose to watch religiously was TITUS. After that...well. Sometimes the streamers get it better.

I know a lot of ppl enjoy it.
I just dont find MOST "current" comedies on network television to be...my type of comedy. So I didnt watch How I Met Your Mother, or Gilmore Girls, or Friends, or Big Bang theory, or 2 Broke Girls, or Modern Family...

I did love Parks and Rec and Veep. I enjoyed the first few seasons of Community. I did enjoy Bobs Burgers.

The only one I regret missing is Schitts Creek.
I think comedies are mostly dead, or at least, quality ones. When is the last time a good one came out in the theater too?

Schitt's creek was really good.

i only watched a few episodes of how I met your mother beceuse the premise drove me insane. Imagine asking the question, "so dad how did you and mom meet", and the guy proceeds to tell you a hundred or more stories about how he didn't meet your mother. I wanted to strangle the narrator. To this day I have no idea how the mother was met and I don't even care enough to watch the last episode or google it.

SPRINKLES

So here was the deal. My friend is an aspiring photographer. I told him about an idea of just pouring chocolate sauce all over me and then maybe throwing confetti up or maybe me holding a cupcake and lit candle or trying to sort it out. He said we could dump choco sauce on me and then he suggested sprinkles and I said why the f not, still gotta shower etc.

So we went to his place and tried it out with a couple of different setups and adjustments and whatever and he took a few shots and luckily some worked!

and no I didnt pee out rainbow sprinkles or have someone lick them out or anything, but I like that second idea if we do it some other time!?

and they swing one of two ways

either all white...like Friends. which is in fucking NYC and not say...North Dakota where it might make more sense.
or its faaaar too diverse to ensure they have the
gay person
black person
asian person
latino person

and then it becomes "too woke" if you will.
just make it...i dont know...reasonable.

for example in friends, fine, all six major ppl could have been white. they also could easily have made say...phoebe...gay. and they could have made the gunther character (barista guy) gay. or black. or cuban.
and perhaps make some of their romance interests that are on for more than one episode...asian/black/latino...or whatever...

but also...not all jokes need canned laughter or playing to the lowest common denominator.

so a show like...curb your enthusiasm...i fucking love. fucking hilarious. barely scripted and super intelligent and fucking unny AF.

I get to take my lil doggie to the vet in a few minutes. Last time, they told me to drug him or they couldnt do his nails or extract his anal gland things.
Thats because they fucked it up that time and "hurt" him by nicking the quick and traumatizing him.
I am not drugging my fucking dog every time, which costs $$$, to trim his nails.
I did buy some "natural" stuff to calm him...he was given a dose at 845 and another at 930, and am about to give him another. Haha.

I am expecting them to say he isnt invited back however.

Schitts Creek was the best, certainly one I can rewatch.

Sainz's penalty was bullshit, and even more bullshit was waiting until the end of the race to investigate LeClerc.

It used to be that they had to investigate and render a decision with X number if laps off the incident, and then penalties needed to be served within 3 laps. Not sure why that went away.

Lando blowing up, and Kimi's optimistic move robbed me of an awesome fantasy result even if Hadjar hadn't taken 3rd. Would have been the first race that all of my drivers scored.

All good. He did mostly well thank goodness.
Small ear infection, but heart, lungs, weight, bloodwork are all excellent. Easy fix.
Just a notch more $ than I'd hoped haha!

As far as sci-fi in concerned, I recommend the Expanse series (6 seasons) over on Prime. IMO excellent story telling. I also highly recommend the books the show is based on.

I know you're not a star trek fan, but the new series just don't do it for me. Of the new star wars I've watched (movies/series) they just seem ok, nothing that really grabs my attention for a long time.

I would love to find something like Firefly, Jericho (guess it's not really scifi), Terra Nova, Babylon 5, hell even syfys version of Battlestar Galactica was good if you forget the pilot completely. Don't have apple tv, but the stuff on prime, Hulu, Disney+ and paramount leave much to be desired.... Really only keep them for my family, I don't find much there I like (that I haven't watched to death), I just need to find another good cooking show to get addicted too lol.
