been good to get out in the cooler temps and getting down to all the stuff that didn't get done for too long due to heat. Flower beds are getting taken care of again, after removing so much weed growth and, in one, an abnormally high and thick growth of sunchokes. We'd actually let them do their thing there to help the insects but now they've flowered there was a huge mass to remove. Done that but not yet cleared the mess created.

We can now see and walk on the path running between and around the two big beds out back and I got all that shit to the compost. Still plenty more to do, with the beds at the front of the house, the side and to the east. More mowing to do but got about half of the hay I need bagged for overwintering, and not much else to do re getting in veggies since the rest haven't done so well because of insects, weather and rabbits. Still, it's been nice to eat handfuls of fresh figs and I did get pizza sauces and canned chopped tomatoes on the shelving in the basement. Might make some blueberry pies or whatever soon, use up some of the fruit from this year.

Oh, and binge-watching Hap and Leonard was well-worth the time. *cool*
