Illustrated definitely takes longer.
after that I think it has less to do with category and more to do with author rep, challenge scheduling and the Moderators personal tine.
I think flooded categories are more likely to get posting dates further out. I've had a story approved fast, but wasn't scheduled for a few days. I imagine if you submitted under Letters & Transcripts, that would get an earlier posting date. Laurel probably staggers the posts in incest so that there aren't 5,000 new stories on one day.
[/QUtime.
Yup. My latest T/I piece was scheduled for like three days after approval; it’s pretty common in that category.Good point.

I think the variation might be as much how much some categories need to be read more carefully. T/I is one of the ones I hear a lot of underage issues with in posts. Obvious issues in NC/R. I will say my humor entry (a very low volume group) originally appeared less than 24 hours after it was approved. And then was retracted by the site because it was supposed to be in the upcoming event. If there are 100 submissions in Incest every day on average then there has to be 100 approved per day on average. Laurel can't slow them down by only approving 75 per day or she will never catch up. Any daily spikes in submissions should even out within a day or two.
