There are pieces to be picked up. There are boundaries to be evaluated. There are choices to be considered, discarded, or embraced. There is space to heal. There is room to walk away, or to clean up messes. There is hope. But above all else, there is strength to keep going despite the pain.

The power of belief: trying to retrain my brain, build new neural pathways. Childhood trauma gives you unhealthy coping mechanisms that leave you in a reactive state.

Ways to help transform my brain from depression and anxiety into healthy and happy:

Learn Hindi so I can better communicate with his family and not have to read subtitles on films.

Keep exercising/swimming.

Get better sleep, but not sure how to do that with kittens in the house. 😂

Eat healthier- increase veggies.

Deep breathing exercises at least once daily. Inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth.

Think about good and positive things when I'm hurting emotionally from being treated like I was nothing and/or when women on here are catty.

Give myself something to look forward to: a trip, a day off, a treat, etc.

Do something artistic: drawing, stamping, coloring, cross stitch, writing stories, etc.
