The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I'm sure glad that this is a long weekend because this crap has hit harder than anything has in awhile. Not done cycling through it just yet.

I'm drinking fluids, God damnit!!!
Just keep doing what you're doing. Sometimes the body takes a little longer to recover. A summer cold is the worst. It usually knocks me out for a couple weeks

I had some aches at the onset, so I'ma wagering flu and that I got on/after it quickly. I knew I had to bail work.

If'n it was just big enough to take out in the back yard and whup up on . . . .

Spent the day rounding logs. Then loading than onto a small trailer I have. Cut enough for four trailer loads - maybe a little more than a cord.

I had a brand new chainsaw blade and it was going through trees like a hot knife through butter. It was too good to be true… Of course I had a piece of metal that was embedded inside one of the logs. Fucked the blade instantly.

I’m going to try sharpening it in the morning. Luckily I always carry a couple of extra chainsaw blades with me.

Then off to a Labor Day party. We hadn’t been in maybe four years, so it was good to see a bunch of people.

Now home watching tennis.

Man Explores Abandoned Junkyard, Finds Rare 1963 Studebaker Zip Van

Junkyards are usually packed with mundane vehicles, but they can also hide rare gems and quirky vehicles. Classic car enthusiast Steve Magnante recently stumbled across a rig you probably won't see anywhere soon. I'm not talking about a rare Hemi Mopar, though. He found a Studebaker you probably never knew existed.

It may seem unusual to have wood on your car's body nowadays, but this was common back in the day. Initially born as a modern interpretation of the horse-drawn station wagon, wooden bodies became popular in the 1920s and didn't fall out of fashion until the early 1950s. Both entry-level and luxury automakers used them.

I'm glad you're on top of it, hun. You are a wonderful daughter and a wonderful friend. Don't ever forget that...🤗😘💋❤️🌹🌹🌹

I don’t blame you. One time the President wanted my government funded project to cover his expenses as a speaker at a conference. I calmly explained that the purpose of overhead includes those expenses. However, if he chose to direct expense his travel, he could go to jail and not me. Everyone else was afraid of him. He respected my honesty.
Good for you, standing up to him but also explaining the process. 🥰
