The few times I've bought/sold from Craigslist... I would meet at the police station. Outside but parked in full view of their security camera. Some stations would even have signs designating parking spots for that purpose.

Don't tell anyone you have the copper... puts you high on the Copper Thieves List. We've had so many telephone poles and (mostly empty) homes damaged over the years by copper thieves.

They are very smart and remember faces. My husband used to "talk" with them and they would "talk back" to him! He started putting food we wouldn't eat on the deck railing for them. He would caw for them and they would caw back. I still put food out for them. If it's been a bit they yell at me!

I was recently told that they can "retain" something like 147 faces/locations to relate to... pretty incredible IMHO!

Yes? I can relate, you know what you know, and you have the evidence so you let them talk freely (we call it free narrative), and once they done explaining you ask questions in reverse, starting at the end of the story because you cannot lie in reverse. You can only lie and embellish a story from start to finish, not so much from the end to beginning.

I'll have to remember this so I can keep my stories straight!

Talking about accents and influences downstream, the Merriem-Webster dictionary I had as a kid had a pic of the states and little arrows showing dialects and accents. I think It’s still at my mother’s house. I’ll have to check when I get back home.

Happy Thursday!!! Came down with something flu-like yesterday. Basically, I feel like shit. So I scrambled to get someone to cover the job and I'm going home and going to bed. I would have left last night but that wasn't in the cards.


August flu. Who knew???

You know what I'm going to say...

Rest. Drink lots of fluids. Food isn't as important right now. Hot fluids will help mobilize the snot. Take ibuprofen or Tylenol for aches, pains, fever. A little bit of fever is actually good, as it's your immune system putting up the fight.
