Crows are sort of a cool bird

They are very smart and remember faces. My husband used to "talk" with them and they would "talk back" to him! He started putting food we wouldn't eat on the deck railing for them. He would caw for them and they would caw back. I still put food out for them. If it's been a bit they yell at me!

He was very tired yesterday... had his first dialysis last night. He had the uremic twitch last night. Hopefully after a few treatments he will be more awake

How often are they dialysing him? Any better today?

What is sepsis?

I'm late to this, RJ, and I'm sure K has answered for you. Here's my take:

Sepsis is an infection that starts somewhere in the body then becomes systemic. This means the infection travels to other parts of the body. Septecemia is when the infection gets into the blood. This is really problematic because the infectious agent has the opportunity to invade more body systems. Sepsis more frequently happens to people who are immune compromised and/or are elderly. Septic shock occurs when the body's defenses are overwhelmed and can't fight the infection. It is the most dangerous shock type.

Patients in Sepsis are frequently admitted to the ICU and placed on a protocol which includes high powered antibiotics. They have a high mortality rate with Septic Shock being over 70%.

It's dangerous and scary (even for us!). I hope your BIL'S Sepsis was caught early and he responds well to treatment.

On wats advice i got some special insoles for my achilles tendonitis. Just put them in...they were 30 damn dollars.... i need some good socks that dont slide around and are good for sore feet.
