I watched it too, and it is well done. But the fact that it's the most popular Netflix film of all time does say something about their demographic. I would have expected that their most popular film would have featured very talented actors like Meryl Streep, Anthony Hopkins, or perhaps, Sydney Sweeney.

And that's fair, everyone has their own tastes. I absolutely loathed the MineCraft movie... maybe it's because I was dealing with little shits in the cinema causing so many issues, but it's definitely not for me. I also am probably going to take flack for this, I didn't like Wicked... especially that they made two movies out of a 2 hour 45 minute broadway show pisses me off as much as turning The Hobbit into 3 movies. So I understand it's not for everyone, just for me the age/gender didn't come into the factor, that's all. So it's all good

sydney sweeney is not a particularly talented actress. she is now the maga wet dream because she has big tits and shows them whenever possible. otherwise, she is yet another ho-hum actress that will likely fade as soon as her looks do.
please dont put her in the same category as oscar winning actors or people with talent that go beyond the surface.

as far as the demographics for that movie, i agree, it was likely originally targeted for younger kids, young women, people in asian countries that tend to listen to more kpop, and so on. and then when it became evident that the animation was top shelf, the music was actually good, there was legit funny stuff in the film, that it was well written and produced...it blew the f up.

I didnt see Minecraft
I didnt see Wicked
The Hobbit should have been two movies at most and while I enjoyed some aspects of the films, they dont hold a candle to the director's cut of the LOTR films.

I included Sydney sarcastically since everything she is in is attracting a lot of views based on her looks. But I give her credit for also taking roles that are totally unglamorous. She knows that she's not going to be the hot new girl forever.
