Judea and Samaria had large Palestinian Jewish populations before Jordan seized the land in 1947. After Jordan lost the 1968 war, the humane thing would have been to allow the Jordanians living in the wrong side of the border to flee back to Jordan. Instead they abandoned them to permanent refugee status.
It’s weird how people conflate Gaza with Judea and Samaria. Before 1968 they were different counties.
Arafat was born in Cairo. His people should go back there.

British Palestine was partitioned into separate Jewish and Arab states: Israel and Jordan.
The Arabs found the existence of a free Jewish state intolerable and so tried to strangle it at its moment of birth. Everything since that initial failed genocide of the Jews has been the product of the Arab's impotent rage: The 1968 war, the Intifadas, The Gaza War.
It will only end when the Arabs come to terms with the existence of Israel.

Jordan was created by fiat in 1946 by Great Britain out of land they took from the Ottomans after WWI.
When the Jews declared their independence from Britain in 1948 and established Israel, Jordan immediately invaded and seized Judea and Samaria (which Jordan called "The West Bank") The West Bank was only part of Jordan for 20 years. They lost it in the 1968 war with Israel.
Jordan should absorb the Jordanian refugees from the war they lost, just like Egypt should absorb the Gazan refugees.

The British gave the Jordanians a country because they were agitating for independence. When the Jews did the same thing to create Israel, Jordan invaded and seized a big chunk of territory. The people who call themselves "Palestinians" today were happy to be part of Jordan before 1968. Just like the Gazans were happy to be ruled by Egypt before 1968.

The Palestinian Jews did use violence against the British colonial authorities. The Palestinian Arabs mostly just attacked their Jewish neighbors. It was the Arabs in Trans-Jordan who used violence against the British.

I would submit that Russia is the worst / main offender, and that Iran is largely Russia’s proxy at this point in time (it may not always have been that way).

There is a secondary benefit to assisting Ukraine in sanctioning Russia economically (and militarily) - Russia has less resources to commit to the Middle East region (See: Russia having to abandon Syria).
