Hello Litsters everywhere.

I'm a guy from the UK and in my mid 40s.

I'm a massive music fan, rock and metal predominantly. I listen to music more than watch TV. I go to gigs, concerts, festivals and even play in a band.

Through my life, music has been the one constant that has never let me down. It's comforted me when I'm down, it's helped me to blow off steam when I'm angry. And when I'm happy it's been right there for me to enjoy. I think it's safe to say I wouldn't be here if it weren't for music.

So, who here feels the same? Do we have any other rockers in? What's your favourite band?

And, has music led you to meet your person? I'm still looking for my musical soul mate. Maybe she's here... hopefully.

Iron Maiden fan here! I love also fantasy metal. I'm 38. And, yea while I didn't meet my partner at a concert, my love for music connected us. But it was our love for books that truly connected us!

Love me some Maiden. As a drummer I was sad to see Nicko go, the man is a legend. But he did the right thing.

Metal guy here. Didn't meet e
Wife through music but it was a criteria for dating, could handle disinterest but not hating it. She goes to most shows. Saw Maiden a bunch of times, Sabbath on 1st reunion and the end tours. Survived the satanic panic (and I was a gamer too!). 57 and got 2 coming up and waiting for a 2026 fest to go on sale. About only styles I don't get into is black and the "cores". Mostly doom and epic guy but also prog and speed. Classical if it's got something with some punch to it at some point.

Did you go to the last show of Ozzy? God I miss him already…

Nah, could have paid for the stream but like things live (I'm in the US). I wasn't really surprised at his passing but the timing of it. When i heard the ticket prices along with "for the fans" something smelled off to me. At least they got to play together.

Well it all went to charity and paying for most of the bands. Ozzy himself and most of Black Sabbath didn’t get paid. It’s why not all the members were happy…

Love me some metal. Know someone who found his gf via online chat. Both also like metal. So yeah it happens. They're together for decades.
