LW Story still pending - What Can I Do?

Story stuck in Pending since the 9th or August.
I have followed all the advice in the Pinned Post.
I Messaged Laurel.
Still Pending.
Does anyone have any Idea what I can do to get this sorted?

I've also had two LW stories pending 15 days now. Followed all advice etc, messaged laurel.

I've spoken to authors who say they submitted after that date and have been published. Additionally, one story that was published seems to have its submission date in the title which is still after my submission date.

Not really sure what to think.

Wait patiently, and whatever you do, don't touch your story. If you do that, it will go to the end of the queue.

Your story is either Pending, which means it's not been looked at yet, or New, which means it's in the publication queue. The third state is Rejected, and if it is, you'll get a message on your Control Panel.

The site has one editor who vetts all stories, assisted we suspect by various word bots; and these days, there's a lot of new content, and probably a lot of AI generated junk.

That's absolutely wild, they must be under immense pressure and should probably think about seeking assistance

I think a big part of the issue, and why we're seeing so many posts about "why is my story still pending" is because the pinned posts imply stories should be published within 72 hours (as of August this year) might be prudent to amend that. If people are expecting to wait up to two weeks etc then they would be less likely to be concerned something is wrong.

Thanks for responding to my cries, it gave me warm fuzzies knowing you took the time.
For a bit of context, I'm brand new to the whole submitting author thing. I submitted 6 stories all of which were published within 48 hours, number 7, well, wasn't. I'm learning that the site has a couple of foibles that I need to navigate and, apparently this is one. Not wanting to complicate things, I've been holding off submitting three stories I have ready but I think I'll put at least one of them up and see if this gives things a kick.
Anyway, Thanks for responding and restoring my faith in open forums.

Don't wait, would be my advice. Who knows, your latest story might go up first.
