I buy 1/2 a cow from a local farmer about 1x a year and it is processed locally!!
About 5.50 to 6 a lb average.....
Just have to have freezer room!!

With the new garden kicking, we're running out of space. And we have a dozen whole chickens coming from the neighbor yet.
