The Trump administration has issued $6.1 billion in fines to immigrants it says have ignored deportation orders. Now it is moving to collect those penalties.
In recent weeks, the government has threatened immigrants with lawsuits, debt collectors and ruinous tax bills if they don’t pay financial penalties. If the recipient self-deports, Homeland Security says the fine will be waived and they will receive a $1,000 “exit bonus.”

This with regard to the UK, and I hope he's right, that it will be resolved electorally. Reform is increasingly a show-in to win the next UK election. Let the mass deportations begin.

Trump is at that point here and the thing everyine needs to realize is that with regard to deportations, Trump is the MODERATE solution. If Trump is not sucessful, the sequel will be a hard right move by the electorate.

IMHO, this is where the US electorate is now. Trump latched on to illegal immigration and deportations as an issue people really care about, and if he keeps moving with these and overriding obstacles, the electorate will keep voting - for him, for Vance, to get the job done, and other issues (like Ukraine and tariffs for me) will fall to the wayside because people see THIS as THE issue, and the Democrats are comletely on the wrong sdeof this one. As long as they are, they will never see power again. It's that simple.

This is where the entire public is going to be at in a few years time and any future party needs to be created with this in mind.

Most of the public won’t necessarily agree with you on everything but the desire to get these people gone will just be so overwhelming that the British public will simply give any serious party, no matter how extreme, a blank cheque to just deal with the problem and any other changes that come along with that they will barely care about.

The public will literally only care about immigration. They will turn a blind eye to everything else. They won’t completely agree with you. They might not even like you. But they WILL vote for you if they think you will seriously just put your foot down any get rid of these people en masse.

Traffic stop for bad driving. Has no license. Detained. Illegal alien. Red State. Given over to ICE (unlike Blue States, which make ICE go door-to-door, allowing for mass arrests of illegal "bystanders"). Adios.

Speaking as someone who's part Chinese, I'm sorry, but 600k Chinese students would be a nightmare for American students. You think the Japanese education sustem is maniacal. China is worse. A million Tiger Mom's all kicking their kids asses 24/7 and that's not counting the teachers. My mom used to push me, and tell me American students were lazy - and compared to those Chinese student's I'M lazy. Bring in that many and the top 10% of every year in every science and business subject will be Chinese. They know how to study!

I had a (American-Chinese) friend who aced averything in highschool, did her IB exams and everything, got into the Acturial program and dropped out at the end of 1st year and changed majors - she was always in the high 90's but the Chinese-Chinese students were doing 100%, every time. They worked until they dropped. I had a Malaysian-Chinese house mate and she was the same - but her focus was that her entire family had got together topay for her to come to the US to go to university and she HAD to do really well - for the family. Hige motivational factors at work too.

This is the fake “crime” that Chloe is upset about:

In videos of the incident posted online, a masked agent wearing a vest labeled “POLICE ICE” on the back holds a weeping man by the shoulder inside the center while several workers in scrubs stand by. At multiple points in the video workers ask the officer for identification; one worker says, “this is a private business.”

Two workers, Danielle Davila and Jose Ortega, tell the officer to leave. Davila moves between the officer and the man, saying “Get your hands off of him. You don’t even have a warrant.”

Ortega puts an arm between Davila and the officer and says “You have no proper identification.”

The officer says to both workers “You touched a federal agent.” Then Davila responds, “I’m not touching you.”

Davila and Ortega were later charged with two felony counts of assaulting a federal officer and conspiring to prevent a federal officer from performing their duties.

Last week the felony charges were dismissed and both Davila and Ortega pleaded not guilty to a subsequent misdemeanor assault charge. A spokesperson for the U.S. attorney’s office declined to comment on the charges.

And they have no one but the administration to blame. If they'd have just given due process originally, he'd likely already be in Costa Rica. Now they can't deport him until October at the earliest and they've spent like five times+ more money than was ever needed.
