For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

Ukrainian intelligence noted that Trump is being overly aggressive in trying to force Zelenskyy to surrender territory to Russia. It is hinted that it appears to be very desperate and raises the question of why Trump is now suddenly pushing so hard.
That’s why he meeting with western leaders this week along with Zelensky.

Under the Biden administration there was not end in sight for the war. And with Harris at the helm, had she won, many billions more would have been spent with no return on the investment for the average taxpaying American who would have had no say.
There is still no end in sight.

But we gave the invader a warm welcome here.

Answer me this. Where was Western Europe when Putin was amassing a huge military presence along the Ukrainian border. Did western leaders think that Putin was just having military training exercises. Western Europe played dead! Putin is an existential to Western Europe and should be prepared to face the music. If Germany, France, UK and Poland, 2 out of 4 with nuclear capabilities, gave Putin a real ultimatum maybe things would change. They act like the 300 lb giant that doesn’t believe he could beat the fuck out of the local bully.

Trump's delusional - and soon the Flamingo's will be coming home to roost.......looks like Ukraine has indeed built their own cruise missiles seeing as no-one would sell them any...... looking forward to some REALLY big bangs - especially as they are already apparently in serial production.

Where did I suggest screaming?
You posted a warm welcoming. I posted something along the lines of screaming at your opponent doesn’t help. You go ahead with playing your semantic word games.
Russia is our adversary.

They aren't our opponent. Our role is mediator.
They’re still, in your words, our adversary. Yes, Trump is playing mediator. Trying to negotiate a peace agreement.

I wonder if it's all those black daddies living by the 4 fs ( find them, feel them, fuck them, forget them ).

blacks have a higher propensity of violence than all races combined.

I find that African Americans are more racist than white folks...I wouldn’t even think of walking a predominately black neighborhood, wouldn’t end well.

I have no idea why "screaming at our opponent" is along the same lines.

They are our adversary....in the definition of the word. They (and he) has been actively working to destabilize western governments. They actively work to break up NATO on the regular.

He is a mediator of two opposing sides. Neither are our opponent.

One is our ally. The other is our adversary.

So what’s the answer? Maybe a massive mobilization by Western nations, the threat to put it all on the line along with the threat of secondary sanctions could persuade Putin and his oligarchs that they can’t win. Putin needs to be convinced he can’t win. Western Europe cannot continue to fight Russia through the Ukrainians.
Finally, a good question and an honest stance on ending the threat of Russian aggression. I'm glad you asked. As an older guy, I believe your thoughts are worth considering. Though that buildup could push Europe toward a NATO-level conflict, doesn't it?

First, I believe Ukraine hasn't requested foreign troops to fight against Russia. Although Putin has used foreign troops because he's running out of resources for his grinder tactics. Sending European troops might seem justified since Putin has called in allies for help. However, since Zelynskyy hasn't asked, I suggest we cease denying him the armor and defense equipment he requests. It's clear he's running out of young men, which is a tragedy for his nation and also for the Russian mothers suffering their massive losses. I feel compassion for the mothers, but not for the Russian military machine, which deserves destruction—either incineration or at least enough devastation to cause it to collapse.

Ukraine, with the proper weaponry, could weaken Russia's resources, breaking the economic backbone that supports Putin's war machine. To Ukraine's credit, it targets military sites and strategic military development, and oil that fuels the military. Ukraine has developed some impressive weapons, and their effectiveness is apparent against the Russian navy, air force, and ground troops. All of these achievements have been accomplished internally. That said, external resources are still needed. They are desperately needed.

News feeds show Russia's once massive tank and artillery have faded significantly. More troops are shown riding motorcycles, bikes, scooters, and even pushing wheelbarrows of ammunition to the front lines. Those are not good signs for Russia. The most recent Russian breakthrough has been closed and pushed back by Ukraine. The appearance of significant advancement was thwarted. Still things are perilous for Ukraines massive frontlines.

A show of support against Putin is urgently needed. Trump isn't helping to halt Putin's aggression by failing to follow through on his promises of severe sanctions. The pattern of two weeks followed by two more weeks of deflection clearly signals to Putin that he can do whatever he wants. That must stop. The EU needs to adopt an aggressive military stance and supply Ukraine thoroughly to confront the bear where it hurts the most. Our president should tighten the economic belt and sign the pending weapons bill. If he desires the Nobel Peace Prize, strength is the way to get there, not by placating Putin and hoping he will change his ways. Putin is KGB through and through—no soul, no heart—completely focused on making a powerful legacy to leave behind.

Deny him that legacy, soon, and let Russians pay for the devastation in Ukraine and then rebuild their own losses, sans the military.

I don't understand how you can continue with this pretense. The US is willing to give Article 5 level protections directly from the US and not through NATO, and yet you still think Trump is supporting Putin.

And supporting that level of disrespect in your meme isn't helpful to solving the political issues which created the conflict in the first place.

I also think you need to talk to your parents about what happens when war is allowed to continue unchecked.

Kremlin Purges PARALYZE Russia’s Army

The Kremlin is consumed by purges, with the FSB sabotaging generals and turning fear into policy. Russia’s army is paralyzed, morale has broken, and factories burn as Ukraine strikes deeper into Russian territory. From refineries to chemical plants to the Kerch bridge, Moscow is losing the fight abroad while tearing itself apart at home.

This is the unraveling of Putin’s regime - a power struggle where fear replaces strategy, and collapse is no longer a question of if, but when

Well, if Ukraine can't cripple Russia then maybe Russia can. :nana:

The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Article 5 protections are words on paper. Neither Europe nor America has lived up to previous committments. What has changed? It's American boots on the ground, along with Europeans and NATO membership, or it's meaningless. Altenratively, we give Ukraine their nukes back.

Yes. Trump is supporting Putin. Literally EVERYTHING he does and says points to this end. And the Alaska summit was.....a disaster.

Pokrovsk is free. Russian soldiers have been expelled from Pokrovsk. The goal of his summer offensive has been shattered.

Why would Trump want to force Ukraine to hand over this fortress city to Russia? The "Gateway to Donestsk." It's a puzzle, I'm sure.

After weeks of brutal fighting, Ukraine has reclaimed one of Donetsk’s most vital cities, shattering Russia’s summer offensive. What was nearly a turning point for Putin has become a devastating defeat, with over 1,200 Russian casualties, massive equipment losses, and the collapse of infiltration attempts. Ukraine’s secret weapon? Ground drones armed with machine guns, changing the battlefield forever. Watch how Russia lost everything in Pokrovsk. Subscribe for more frontline updates.

Ohhhhhhh. Now Russia targeting the SOCAR site in Odessa with a strike makes sense. It belongs to Azerbaijan. This will only incentivize Azerbaijan to come down even more firmly on the side of helping Ukraine.

The situation of the Druzhba pipeline is actually far worse than was thought. Last night NASA FIRMS confirmed that the hub and pump station in Novonikolske, Tambov region, in Russia was burning. Satellite pictures show that large parts of the facility are completely destroyed. Together with the successful strikes against two Druzhba pump stations in the Bryansk region it is obvious that the entire Druzhba pipeline from the Tambov region in Russia all the way to the west is rendered inoperative for quite some time. Pumping is halted indefinitely.

The operation was conducted by the Ukrainian 14th UAV regiment.

Ukraine has completely destroyed the Druzhba oil pipeline. The transfer of oil from russia to Europe is now suspended indefinitely, — Commander of the Special Security Service “Madyar.”

No more Russian oil for Slovakia or Hungary either.

Austrian oil and gas company OMV and Slovakian company Transpetrol have officially announced their decision to stop work on a new pipeline project. The aim of the project was to transport Russian oil from the Druzhba pipeline through Slovakia to the Schwechat oil refinery near Vienna, as ORF reported. The construction of the pipeline through Slovakia was initiated by OMV in 2003. The project involved the construction of a 62-kilometer-long pipeline between the Schwechat refinery and Bratislava to connect to the Russian Druzhba oil pipeline. After more than 20 years of unsuccessful attempts to obtain all necessary permits from Slovakia, further investments in this project are considered unfeasible.

They make no sense. This is not our war, it’s Biden’s war, and he unleashed it without the resources or strategy to win. Short of a World War III mobilization, which the U.S. cannot and should not attempt, we were never in a position to defeat Russia in Ukraine. The losses and chaos we’re seeing are the direct result of his mismanagement and overreach.
