What’s your most controversial opinion?

It's just a name. Like tennis or dog. Hockey is hockey because someone called it hockey and it stuck. The name is not an explanation of the object, game, etc. in my opinion, more often than not.

Likes and loves of one’s posts don’t translate to real liking. It can lead to mind fucking yourself. That’s on you

Don't eat Chili after Memorial Day or before the end Labor Day 😉
And if it’s the chili from pre-memorial day, don’t eat that after Labor Day either… lol

My opinion…. After much consideration of the chicken didn’t cum before the egg she was with a selfish rooster.

Perhaps the most evil book ever written in the history of man is the Holy Bible. The only entity deserving of Hell is God.

I wouldn't call it evil, to me it's just a bunch of stories that eventually got documented by a group of monks in the 5th century. Think about it, no tv, no newspapers, no books (writing was the domain of the wealthy). Stories would have been the entertainment in those times, told over and over again passed from one gathering to the next, can you imagine how they would be embellished over time. If Jesus lived in our society now he would have been discredited a million times before breakfast. I believe a Jesus existed but the fish and wine miracles were just stories made to promote a narrative that people needed at the time.

There is of course the people that follow the bible and it's stories and believe it all to be true. I work with a guy who is well educated in mathematics and he believes the tower of Bable existed and all that went with it. I have found there are people that find comfort in believing it all and each day I am surprised by who they are.

On spot. When you tell a story frequently enough, eventually it becomes the truth itself.

Pretty much. But I think this thread was very intentional.
I've always thought this thread was either created...or shortly afterwards hijacked...to out people of differing opinions. People get ganged up on and even silenced for opinions they've posted. I don't report people. I choose instead to silence them with my ignore button. This thread alone has kept my ignore button gainfully employed for some time now. :ROFLMAO:

Yes, I thought much the same. Though I thought it was more a honey trap for really problematic people - giving them a place where they'd be encouraged to say something awful enough to justify them being banned or otherwise moved off the site. But maybe that was just a happy accident rather than the reason the thread was started.

I can't even remember who they were. But I think that happened?

[ETA...but if it did, it's been deleted. Forget it].

I'm crap at Lit drama.

This is the Lit equivalent of “I’m a nice guy.”

🚩

Unrelated but somewhat related…
My controversial opinion is is that people who come into Lit drama JUST to post how much they hate drama are BAD LIARS.
