Trump's Treasury Secretary Admits Tariffs Are Paid by Americans

The money is rolling in and Americans will see that, along with stable prices (see above) and strong markets (see above).

  1. Tariffs are paid by American businesses and consumers. Money isn’t “rolling in”, it’s flying out of American wallets.
  2. Prices aren’t stable. The core CPI and the PPI are now over 3%.
Good job, Totally Fact Free wallstreetguy.

Yeah, I am done with that

I know this one! He's the demented old man who got conned by the Speaker of the House into signing an immigration amnesty that destroyed his legacy adn the country.
Nailed it!
My mans killed mental hospitals and ignored AIDS. 🤦🏽‍♂️

First was bad and second is a non-issue. The govt gave money instantly to this via CDC. They wanted Reagan to say something about it and he did not. He was not much of a leader once the dementia set in second term.

1. Someone has to pay the debt. Consumers and businesses are doing the lion's share because duh, they have the money to do it.
2. You are using core CPI. Nice job on cherry-picking. I do that for a living, so bravo. I go with the 2.7% CPI. Gas is down and that effects food prices (transportation). Housing prices are down too. I put that one on all the migrants leaving. Landlords cannot put 15 Guatemalans in a house and charge each $1000/month. They now have to rent it out to 4 college students or one family. That is happening in south Florida right now and I am sure it will happen in other places too.

rent cost has nothing to do with who lives in the house.

did you even graduate high school?

  1. Nobody is “paying the debt”. Deficits and the national debt are growing under Deficit Donnie.
  2. There’s a reason the Fed focuses on core CPI. As an “analyst” you should know that. The PPI also was up in July. Inflation indicators are headed in the wrong direction.

What the fuck is a tariff shelf?

Tariff shelf. Right next to bullshit, lies and more crap that is peddled to the cult. Some of it is regurgitated by the cult followers here.

Find it amazing that there are more cult followers that do not understand tariffs and who pays them. Wal mart. Amazon and others did post tariff costs until the administration flipped out. Tariffs are paid by American companies and consumers. Expect more to be pushed onto the American consumer.

Repay all public debt, just get a more biggly tariff shelf.

It takes a special kind of stupidity to post daily about tariffs being non inflationary and rational. wallstreetguy, reichguide, ican’thelp, et al are imbecilic provocateurs.

Yet you posted in reply 🤣
Did not address central thesis, only the bad grammar. But for you, I will point out that American colonists had no representation in British Parliament. Had they been able to vote and get their voices heard, and yet still lost, they would have grudingly paid the taxes and remained loyal Englishmen.

Your thesis can’t be proven, and your reply contains more poor grammar than the meme itself.

I will not correct your grammar but I will rebut your point: The Big Beautiful Bill is the greatest piece of legislation passed in a generation. It will enshrine ICE as an arm of government for decades to come. No Democrat will be able to dismantle it. That will protect Americans (even foolish liberals) from threats, both foreign and domestic.

The big bamboozle is creating more unsustainable debt. It benefits the few at the expense of the American Middle and working class.
