I meant - I went ahead rewrote this in my words. The basic story stood. most of the actions remained because these were what I envisioned, but I removed any AI help (like fleshing out character introductions)Please repeat this sentence using different words.
Did you, at the end of rewriting this story yourself (or in the course of, for that matter) allow Grammarly, MS Word, Co-Pilot, or any other writing assistance tool to make changes to it as you wrote it?I meant - I went ahead rewrote this in my words. I can send the two versions.
I used Google docs - and yes, as and when I made errors, I corrected it for grammar and punctuations. I dont use Grammarly or MS Word or Co-Pilot. Like I can tell the whole story verbatim.Did you, at the end of rewriting this story yourself (or in the course of, for that matter) allow Grammarly, MS Word, Co-Pilot, or any other writing assistance tool to make changes to it as you wrote it?

On another note - these are explicit stories and most AI tools dont allow explicit text generation.
Done. Fingers crossed. And by "note to the admin" I mean an entry in the "Notes to the Admin" section of the submission form.
Best of luck to you, and keep us posted!Done. Fingers crossed.
Have you heard back? Was your story posted?Hi AwkwardMD. Many thanks for replying to my messageI will work on my story and I will also let my editors know. I'll report back ASAP.
Hello AwkwardMD. This is Illogical. Sorry for the delay. I informed my editors of your suggestions. I submitted the story on Thursday, and it was accepted yesterday. The story was published today. The story is called "Blue Blood" and its in the Mature Category. I really want to thank you for your suggestions. I’m not sure if Laurel read the messages my editors sent, but I like to believe she did. The story got published finally got published and thats all that matters. Many thanks.Have you heard back? Was your story posted?
Well.. good news!Best of luck to you, and keep us posted!
If you don't mind me asking. What won't work a second time? Having one of my editors send Laurel a message? or what exactly?@Illogical @ObsceneVices Just bear in mind that this won't work a second time, and best of luck to both of you in your future writings!!
The AI detector is looking for some fairly specific things. You used personal accountability to get around it. Future rejections will reflect backwards on the word of everyone involved who said it was a mistake. If you don't mind me asking. What won't work a second time? Having one of my editors send Laurel a message? or what exactly?
The first step is to re-submit your document, with something in the "Notes to the Admin" section about how you believe a previous rejection was in error. However, LLM's definitely can produce the German language (if not quite so well as English, by and large) so I would not think hinging your defense on that detail would be helpful. My german story has been rejected because "still coming back as being composed largely of AI-generated prose"
This is just sick. They don't even speak german. So I have to rewrite sections which are not written by AI. Which one should I chose? My writing style ist detected as AI. Is is to good? Do I have to put in some typos and mistakes, followed by bad wording?
Or do I have to use a AI to humanize my text? This is really stupid. I'm asked to write in a manner that it convinces a AI which tests texts whether they are AI written or not, that they are written by a human?
So finally I write to please a AI annd not my readers? This is pretty stupid. And I will go to an german site if this continues.
I have petitioned the site admin on your behalf. I don't have any sway, but I am empathetic to your situation.I did this already... It didn't help. And I don't have a writing history. I copied the finished story into pages, made a correction with apples wrinting tools, copied into my writing app, So I had two stories, the corrected one and the written one with the mistakes. I only kept the one with corrections and deleted the one which would have a writing history. Why keep it?
Of course LLM can write in german.
"Write your own work, edit it yourself, and you won't have a problem." I wrote my own work, But I have a problem.
So I'm pretty lost. I made some test with AI detection tools 2 said it is 99 % human written, one said it is 88% Ai written.
They suggested to find an editor. I don't know a editor who reads german. There is a list with english editors. They can't help me.
But thanks a lot for your answer.
I'm pretty disappointed now. AI cheats by telling me, that I'm cheating. Brave new wold.
kind regards
Emily
Just so you know, though, Apple Writing Tools is an AI writing program. Can you undo whatever changes that program made?I did this already... It didn't help. And I don't have a writing history. Thanks a lot. I tried to contact Peter Carsten, but I'm not sure if he is still in charge of anything.I have petitioned the site admin on your behalf. I don't have any sway, but I am empathetic to your situation.
Give it a day, to see if the admin responds to me.Thanks a lot. I tried to contact Peter Carsten, but I'm not sure if he is still in charge of anything.
This poster does not read whole threads. They take individual posts from threads, pop those into ChatGPT, and ask for replies. You can tell by the way each response happens in complete isolation to any other part of the conversation. They have been doing this across multiple forums for months now. You're correct. I also think the poster in question should go back to the beginning and read the purpose of this thread. It isn't a place for simple replies that don't add to the topic.
I'm just gonna say this, so please don't hate me. If you really and truly wrote every word yourself and it's flagged as AI, that doesn't mean it is "too good", it means that it is too predictable. In other words, not very creative; i.e. boring. In the harshest sense, you are being told that your story sounds like it was written by a robot. Your readers will not like it if it sounds like it is written by a robot. So no, you are not writing to please AI; maybe you want to enhance your writing style so you don't sound like AI, and then your readers will be happier. My german story has been rejected because "still coming back as being composed largely of AI-generated prose"

This is outside the scope of this thread.I'm just gonna say this, so please don't hate me. You can hate me for saying that, or you can use the AI flag as a challenge to improve. Adding intentional errors is a gimmick; it is not the answer.
I have nothing to say on the subject of German language AI detectors, maybe there is something peculiar to them which is unusually flawed. My only suggestion there is to ask one of the German language authors who's writing you admire to beta read it for you. They are more likely to agree to help you if you leave comments on every one of their stories telling them how much you love their work. Bribery, sure, but it works.
The other thing I'll add (and I've already resigned myself to being hated now) is that, if you fancy yourself an author, you shouldn't believe any of the "suggestions" offered by Word, Goggle, Grammerly and all the other software. Those do not make your writing better, they make it conform more closely to expectations. You can make your writing better by taking the advice of real people who are good readers. And a good reader is not always the same as a good writer. So it is also helpful to look at comments left by readers of your favourite stories, to see which of them "really get's it."
FWIW, the beta readers that I trust are the ones who read and understand what I'm trying to say. That's what you want.
