Your Lit Name

My original name here was just something nearly random I threw together - robroy1968. Just something to sign on with when I was strictly a reader. When I started writing and people liked what I did, I felt the name wasn't very authorly and I modified it to Rob_Royale.

It's a pun. I chose Steele as my pen name's surname. People IRL call me Mynx, and I'm quite athletic, so KittyOfSteele was born.

Areala is the title character of a comic book I enjoyed back in the '90s, and a name I've used across multiple websites over the years, while -chan is a diminutive in the Japanese language, added to indicate either close familiarity or cuteness when addressing another individual. :)

I am a boy, and once upon a time I visited Kosovo.

My wife created this account to get me to published my writing, which until then had just been for her. She went with my love of horror and being a huge HPL fanboy. All my pen names in the market are various places on it as well
Looking out my bedroom window I can see the house where HPL lived from 1926-1933.

I chose my name based on the Thomas Pynchon novel ('Inherent Vice') I happened to be reading at the time. (The character played by Joaquin Phoenix in the movie).

Nice!

Providence and RI itself has a great history for horror fans.

I used to live in Harrisville not far from the house the Conjuring is based on.

I needed an alt account for another website, so not being terribly creative with names, this one popped into my head.

Sort of an internal joke, John is John, but John isn't my real first name.

It refers to my underwear fetish. For years my Yahoo name and Craigslist pseudonym was UnderRicksPants. It's just been shortened to Underrick over the years.

All of us here (or almost all) write under pseudonyms. We have screen names. I'm curious as to how you came up with your screen name. Mine was the name of my favorite horse to ride at summer camp when I was a kid.

I wanted something clever and witty, but I couldn't think of anything clever or witty. So, I made one that's a witty username because it declares that it's a witty username.

How do you even do that? Living near an airport makes me wanna die, and I wish it was by rock & roll... but so it went...

Hi Kitty, I'm not that close to the airport, about a 20 minute drive. The airport reference is there in case there are any Litsters living near ILM who pick up on the reference.

Anagram for my real name, Bront Hambler.
Why do I feel this is also an invitation for someone to Google, only to find something hilarious in the results? 😂

As for my username, I like voyeur stories. And the middle chunk of the name Kenneth (“enne”) has a neat little symmetry I enjoy.

It's a long story... but hidden in it is one of my real names... but I'm not saying which one...
