So we have 800 troops added to the regular policing body of Washington, D.C.. On the first night of work, they arrested twenty-three persons: homicide, guns, avoiding something, and very fine criminals on both sides. I suspect we will find they were at trials.
I'm wondering how many arrests the other cops handled? Or was this the combined total? First reports out said this group was supposed to assist with things to release local law enforcement to handle the arrests. So who actually made these arrests?
Does anyone know the nightly arrest rates for DC? Is twenty-three average for a city of that size? Hardly seems like a national emergency if we only have twenty-three out of 693,000 residents there.
Did anyone catch someone doing graffiti? That's a big concern for the CIC.

How are TrumpTroops making a homocide arrest? Did it happen right in front of them? Or were they merely riding along when the local police figured out who committed the crime and went to their home to arrest them?

Oh, that's quite simple, I suppose.
First of all, the infantry carry out a forcible reconnaissance. Presumably, the lawbreakers are held down by targeted bursts of fire from prepared machine-gun positions, then armoured troops advance on the flanks to encircle them. Finally, they are destroyed by artillery and the infantry collects the remnants.
That will teach them to sleep on a park bench again, these wretched criminals.

Almost every homeless person is a drug addicted mental patient. The percentage of "on tough times/down on their luck" is tiny, since they have family, charity and government to help. You ever seen these people crapping on the streets? That is not someone who lost a job. It is someone who lost their sanity.
