I remember "coming down" from the numbing shot once, to find that, apparently, I had mistaken my tongue for a Sirloin Steak!

Thanks. There’s a big abcess and my lip is still numb. Not feel good numb. But painful numb. Dentists thought it should go away in the next week or two.

I am texting my wife and not trying to talk. Talking hurts.

I've had patients demand to be placed on certain units and with certain nurses. Because I learned to start IVs on neonates, I was pretty good at it. Because their disease causes fragile veins, many of my diabetes and kidney disease patients would request me to start their IVs.

I'm a "hard stick" - I always ask for the resident Vein Whisperer

I started on a renal floor... I was pretty good. I also could start ivs on kids.... goal was to stick once

There can be issues along the way, I was lucky enough to be well prepared but nothing is certain. I did make the mistake of moving to FLA. Too fucking hot and not in a good way. At least in the summer but I do get to walk on the beach most mornings.

I have been there in August, and it was brutally hot. In my case, being Canadian, I look forward to being a snow bird.

I was a snow bird so Jan. and Feb etc. were great. I spent 2 years here in the Air Force and had a great time and do not recall it being so hot. Well not temp. wise. I was between 18 and 21 and I let the good times roll!
