Introductions for the Socially Inept

According to the stats on this website, I've had this account for around four or so years. I remember joining at one point, then immedietely growing so ashamed of myself that I deigned never to come here again. I also forgot my password, which didn't help.

But now I'm going through a journey of unlearning shame around these sorts of things, so I thought it prudent to make some sort of introduction here, perhaps test the waters as to what people are like here. I'm not terribly experienced in writing erotic fiction, but I've had a lot of fun experimenting with it thus far, and I'd like to be able to discuss it and other things with likeminded people.

I suppose I'd like to know if anyone else has ever felt the same way; intitially reluctant to even consider joining an erotica site, and how it feels now to have gotten over that hurdle.

I almost never log in. I lurk. But your post merits comment. Congratulations on the hurdle. (I am not there yet.) Hardly socially inept, though.
I spent the better part of an hour debating whether I should even make this post. But I'm getting there.

I have been writing for 2 1/2 years. No real friends, not accepted by the community. Also not a great writer and don't pretend I am. Has not been a great experience for me. I find LitE to be rather clique- ish. Good or great writers stick together unless you fawn over them and their stories, then they can be condescending.

I can sympathise with the sentiment. The reason I've made this post is because I haven't been able to find a way to comfortably insert myself into any other conversations going on. But, I did primarily join this site to work on and improve my writing first and foremost. Glad to see I'm not the only one.

Might I suggest the "what are you thinking thread"

Just people posting random thoughts they are having and you can comment on those messages.
Some really great people post there and it is easy to converse with them
