My icon disapeared along with the thread that someone else posted complaining about it

I would give it a few days. Who knows what happened, maybe there was some internal update that took have the userpics down. They might just roll it back and everything will be fine.

Many of them disappeared the other day. There's no rhyme or reason.

Simply upload another and, in a few hours, it will be up if approved.

Mine is still up on the stories side though, so Lit has it somewhere.

Mine and others, as well. There's a lot of chatter about it on The Playground, but most of us resolved it by editing/uploading a new pic to the profile on the story side.
