Happy Friday, Friends! We made it.... well, I've almost made it, but I can see the weekend... It is almost here... And I need it. The HVAC folks are here one more time... I've got just about everything I can crossed that this will fix our (2-year old) AC.

So in honor of Friday and my recent "Fuck It Friday" tradition... I've gone back into the kitchen cupboards to see what I can find.

Suddenly, everything washed over her. She felt terrified. She felt ill. She felt foolish. She could feel the indecision and insecurity flooding her body. She stepped back, away from the men. Her hand flew to her tummy, trying to calm herself.

"It's OK, Daisy -- You've been amazing," her husband said.

She grabbed her sweater from the floor and gave it a quick shake. She slipped it over her shoulders, her back to the room. She didn't say a word. Her hands were shaking. For some reason, she felt like she was holding back tears as she left the room.

A little while later her husband found her. She was still wrapped in her sweater.

"He's gone," he told her. "Are you OK?"

She nodded and climbed into his lap, snuggling against him and accepting the comfort he offered. They talked quietly as he stroked her back and soothed her hair.

"Do you want to know who he was?" he asked her.

She thought for just a moment before shaking her head.

"No," she answered. "I would rather he remain a mystery."

"Would you like me to invite him back?" he asked her tentatively.

She thought for a moment, worrying her bottom lip, before answering him.

"Yes, I think I might like that..."

Oh happy weekend. My house is so nice and quiet without all the fans or that portable AC unit running. I thought I'd take some time to get to my long overdue replies. There's something about this time in August... I start to get restless. I start wearing red on Fridays and Saturdays and.... I'm ready for Football! Anyone else?

It's been a little over 2 months. I had no idea I would still be posting here after 2 weeks. Honestly, I wasn't sure anyone would want to see what I have to post! But there has been so much support and such a great response... I've been having the time of my life.

I love dressing up and taking pics with Hubby. That process has changed for both of us over the past 2 months, too. We've both gotten more comfortable with taking pictures, making comments and suggestions to each other, and I've had to learn to shut up and just let him take pictures sometimes.

I do think I'm growing into some self-confidence through this process. Last week I went and saw a friend of over 20 years. She kept asking me what was different. I think it was that I felt more comfortable in my own skin.
