If I remember correctly, I used rum and vodka... there might've been some Scotch involved too, but for some inexplicable reason, my memory is a bit "fuzzy!"

They're bird dogs, so my answer is yes. They get eaten, apparently, as she finds little in the way of remains. Now she knows that it's tag team.


I'm sure that it makes Perfect Sense to the kids, and they're good kids. Just doing Doggie Things.

Cinnamon?

I will eat some things cinnamon-y. It's also a hot spice. My kids sent me a care package of things from Hawaii, mostly macadamia nuts as they know I like them. Unfortunately, they sent Kona coffee covered and cinnamon. I don't eat anything with coffee; the cinnamon ones are too cinnamon-y for me. One went to my trainer; one went to my housekeeper.

Yesterday at work, we had a couple of periods of very hard rain such that we were very nearly killt. It coulda been worse. The power was out for a couple of hours, too. We were blamed for that by some, mostly because they had no memory of the power ever having gone out during storms before.

I am working from home this morning and then getting a tooth extracted around 10:30. It’s the tooth that busted off about a year ago.

I went in for my check up about three or four months ago and my dentist was like “what’s that thing still in your head? Take it out.”

So today’s the day.

I told my boss I didn’t know how much “working from home.” I would be doing this afternoon.

(I always use heavily accentuated air quotes when I say working from home…)

How do u or should i fire a deck guy... he got a deposit... ripped stuff off half built deck. On Thursday said he was on vacation for 5 days and then would finish...haven't heard from him since....

The tooth extraction was a success. Definitely not my favorite thing.

Not even laughing gas this go around.

Who was all over and done with in 45 minutes, including the bone graft for the implant.

I was supposed to take the afternoon off, but you know me. I did take a little nap from one to two but then was back online.

And filled up the wood bins at the farm stand.

Since I cannot eat anything solid for a few days, we had ice cream for dinner. At one of my favorite spots.

Been a good week so far. Got down to see mum and take her out to lunch. We then followed it with a walk around a local park. It was lovely but she was determined to go down the steepest path so I had to grab her by the collar to stop her going too fast. I hade visions of her going base over apex. Walk back up was harder but I found a meandering path that took the sting out of it… and a bench for a rest on the way. Her strength of spirit amazes me. I guess it’s a generational thing. They find every reason to do something as opposed to a current generation who find every reason not to?

Anyway enough of that I am going fishing!

Well you want the good news or the bad?

Good news to lead. Momma made it out of her procedure with flying colors. Doc said she did great, and recovery was pretty painless as they had her on a drip. She spent the night and I brought her home yesterday to a bounding two year old G-granddaughter! She’s happy to be home but is starting to feel some discomfort. They have her on one of the Oxy pain meds.

Bad news. The procedure went well but unfortunately the cancer has spread to a muscle. They took a biopsy and we wont have the full picture till that comes in…hopefully before I get off vacation and can talk to doc. Radiation was mentioned and I have been researching some Keto and diet options that people say have slowed cancer. I’ll try and post some links later after coffee to get the pro’s feelings on some of those.

On the bright side. She’s not down about it. Facing it with positive attitude which is half the battle. Had a cousin who was given 1 yr. He said cancer wouldn’t kill him and lived 5. It got him eventually but on his terms. I’m hoping we can just kill it…fuck cancer.

I'm so glad the procedure went well, H. Very sorry about the spread. Perhaps they got wide enough margins. It depends on what type of cancer and how virulent it is whether or not diet can affect the spread. You'll know more after the results of the biopsies come in. Bring your research to the provider. She should be referred to an oncology service. They frequently have dietitians in such a practice.

Edit: Went to a “contact”…they saying the Avatar thing is a glitch and go back in and post your pic. I’m gonna try and see if that works.

Edit2: went over to the Control Panel and my Avatar still exists over there? . I’m going to chalk this up to a glitch and see if they can fix it from their side…

Edit3: decided I couldn’t wait and went and uploaded my Av again…it gave me this with a checkmark in green:

I just checked in Control Panel. My avi is still there.

Forum side was white
Some users had 2 different images set
Settings now only appear to take you to the AV edit for the story side?

I had same set for both.
AV still there on story/author side
Still gone on forum side
I did reload & got same message
Waiting on moderation
Assuming they may be swamped right now?

I did not know there were two sides. I haven't written any stories but have edited some. I've only been active on the forum side.
