If some minority wants absolutely guaranteed seats in congress I would suggest they start a movement for the entire population to move to one state. They'll have all the cities, and the state, and complete congressional representation. What a marvelous experiment that would be.

Your comparison is illogical. Apples to oranges. On the federal side the speaker released the house on a scheduled August recess, regardless of what you think it’s not the same as the Texas house democrats, who were not dismissed, fleeing to other states illegally, refusing to do their job.

It is not illogical. It is the same premise. The Oranges fled Congress to avoid a vote on the Epstein files while still having essential issues to address on behalf of their constituents. They left to prevent embarrassment for Trump. Full stop. The Apples left Texas to attempt to halt the brazen gerrymandering of votes to dilute and disenfranchise Democratic voters.

You are wrong about leaving the state being illegal. The breaking of quorum is not illegal in Texas. It has consequences imposed by the Republican dominated legislature after other attempts, however.

Johnson understands the vote to subpoena Epstein files and made a decision to give the DOJ time to work out the release of Grand Jury transcripts and to allow time for the Blanch/Maxwell interviews to progress forward. Those subpoenas will happen.
