Johnson understands the vote to subpoena Epstein files and made a decision to give the DOJ time to work out the release of Grand Jury transcripts and to allow time for the Blanch/Maxwell interviews to progress forward. Those subpoenas will happen.

The only reason why what they're trying to do isn't illegal is that until fairly recently, neither party would dare try for such a thing.
