Not taking sides but you know what happens next, right? It's called discovery. I will also note. They filed that suit in Delaware. Owens lives in Tennessee. So I don't know how far this civil suit is going.

Unless Candace Owens has substantial ties to Delaware, or the case facts are uniquely centered there, she can likely challenge jurisdiction or seek removal or transfer to Tennessee or federal court. If the plaintiffs are not U.S. citizens, that strengthens her case for federal court jurisdiction under diversity rules. She still has full discovery rights regardless of whether: She challenges jurisdiction, the case is moved to another court. All of that said, the Macrons are saying they have provided her with abundant evidence proving that she is wrong. So far, I haven't heard Candice address this in detail on her podcast. It doesn't sound good for her if true. If true, she could be utterly destroyed by this suit.

I just saw Tucker Carlson podcast interviewing Candace Owens regarding this matter. I must say she makes a good case for herself. I also have read but have not seen her appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast wherein Rogan had commented to her, “You have convinced me.” I’ve also watched Jake Tapper’s interview with Tom Clare, the lawyer, for the Macrons, who seemed fairly confident to succeeding in his legal action. I got the impression that the Macron’s main purpose is to have a judicial decision affirming that Brigitte Marie-Claude Macron née Trogneux, previously Auzière, Macron’s wife, is a biological born woman,

Without weighing in on whether or not Macron’s wife, is a trans woman or a biological born woman, I’m certain that Candace Owens truly believes Brigitte is trans and to my mind she certainly has compelling evidence to back up her belief. That of course is a killer obstacle in US jurisprudence for a celebrity who sues for defamation to overcome. The celebrity must show that the defaming defendant acted with malice knowing that the defamed assertion was untrue.

I actually think that Clare made a legal mistake in filing the lawsuit in Delaware as opposed to Tennessee where Owens resides. No doubt, the thinking was that the Delaware Court being demonstratively and notoriously liberal would be more receptive to Marcon’s presumably personal anguish over the presumed unfounded allegations foisted on them by the dastardly podcaster Candace Owens. Clare in his interview with Jake Tapper emphasized that the Macrons are human beings after all, and can be hurt by false accusations just as deeply as non celebrities.
However, where Clare’s calculations led him astray was the fact that the current liberal dogma, or for that matter that of the Democratic Party generally in the United States, is the view that trans people are just as normal as say gays never mind the empirically normal opinion of majority of heterosexual people. In that mind set, then it follows that the liberal judges in the Delaware court not necessarily in good conscience but would indeed view that Owens’ assertion that Brigitte Macron is a trans woman is not defamatory; it is simply an assertion of fact whether it is true or not is truly irrelevant as it could not be defamatory.

Ergo, it might have been more strategically sound to have launched this court case in Tennessee. After all, Tennessee recently won an important Supreme Court decision wherein the court held that Tennessee legislation prohibiting gender affirming care to minors was constitutionally permissible. Therefore, Tennessee conservative judges would probably personally believe that alleging that someone is trans is indeed defamatory.

In conclusion, if the ultimate purpose of Marcon’s lawsuit is to obtain a judicial decision proclaiming that Brigitte is a biological born woman and thereby putting to rest rumors that she is trans, then there is a more efficient and less expensive method to prove that fact. Just produce a DNA test which would conclusively prove the sex of Brigitte from birth. You will recall that Trump when a civilian was prominent in alleging that Pres Obama was not born in the United States. Finally to put that accusation to rest Obama authorized the release of his birth certificate.

My main point which you seem to ignore is that if this lawsuit ever gets to trial, which I doubt will happen, is that the Marcons cannot possibly prevail given the heavy burden that celebrity plaintiffs have to overcome in gaining a favorable judicial ruling in a case of defamation.
