The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Well, we went from MOM to MISSY right quick, didn't we???

Windows are triple pane and tempered! Tub deck is dry and wide. I also have a half wall to use for balance. The other side of the tub has a full wall so I'm probably going to put the step-stool into the tub and hang the other nest that way.

A friend suggested tying the fishing line to the nest directly then hanging it from the hook above the window frame. I did that and like the look. This will make it easier to hang the second nest. Here's a pic of it hanging. I haven't cut off the extra line yet.

Looks great! Glad you’re being safe and using a two step.

I made energy balls for my trainer. Technically not baking but still a bit of work. I just generally throw in stuff she likes, form into balls, then roll them in protein powder so they're not sticky.

I usually make big balls; I can get about 16 from one bowl. However, my trainer is in training herself for a bodybuilding competition and is watching her macros very closely. We talked about it on Friday and decided I would make mini balls. So, I got about 80 balls from one bowl.
You said “balls”, “energy balls”, “mini balls” “energy balls” and rolled them into protein powder so they’re not sticky…..

I had a productive day today. I got fishing line tied to the second hummingbird nest. I might hang it tomorrow or I might wait till my housekeeper comes this week.

Then I baked. I made energy balls for my trainer. Technically not baking but still a bit of work. I also made chocolate cheesecake bars with chocolate mint ganache topping. I'll bring some with me on Tuesday for my trainer's fiance.

I'm tired now. Maybe I should try to get to bed early-ish? Yeah, right! 😅🤣

Have a great start to your week, everyone! 💕✨💞
Looks amazing. I’m sure tastes even better. Even the balls! 😂😂😂

Happy Monday (or as happy as it can be). My two big projects were the sales conference last week (done), and a major milestone on Friday.

This Monday feels really “normal” which is good.

I’m sure give it some time before there’s a fire to put out or some other bullshit will arrive on my desk or laptop.

I found this online recipe works well for making them with protein powder in the balls themselves.
Then I roll in a 50/50 mix of protein powder & cocoa powder.
(I skip the oats b/c they hurt my tummy)

Up. Coffee. TDK has eaten. Still have a bit to pack and the loading to do. At least it's cooler this morning, tanks to the gods.
Safe travels today
Morning Wat. I have insomnia at 3 and tossing too much. The dog got me up now. Trying to get back to sleep
Sorry to hear this, B2 🫂
Better. Not great but better than Saturday.
Step in the right direction for the Win Column 🏆

You all know how ________ (insert emotion) I am to admit/talk about this....

I have a new goal by new year and then march.

Final goal by my day 2026...then I will get my Lennox spice jars and a trip.... start saving lilianna ... we need to go see our pups...and of course Greylag.....

As I’m over forty pages behind I’m not even going to attempt a catch up, but wanted to give a quick update.

Our Virginia Vineyard getaway was a true success. Cabin was quaint and hot tub was warm. The wines were refreshing (we’re on a White Wine kick…and have been for a while😂) and the meats and cheeses good. Our cabin hosts took care of supper on our arrival day and I had the best rainbow trout I think I’ve ever had, bar ones I’ve caught! We just ate winery food the next couple and honestly that was fine by me!

Been staying with Momma getting her ready for the upcoming procedure. She’s getting a little worried as the event gets closer but we spent some quality time together this weekend, watching the grandbaby and watching old movies. It rained so cooled things down and it was nice to just spend time working hard at nothing all day.

Will let all know how things go this week. I have three docs appts this week…talk about piss poor planning…

I usually make big balls...
So, I miss a couple of days worth of content... So what exactly did I miss???

Just getting buried in summer stuff, so it's been difficult keeping up. Still slowly working on the old rusty car. One side is done, with four patch panels needed in addition to the big panel. Took out the rusty panel on the other side, and hopefully that's less work.

We've been getting a lot of smoke from the Canadian fires. AQI numbers finally allowed a lawn mowing last night. Now it looks like a mowed hay field!

Planning a quick trip this week. Celebrating being married to the same woman for a quarter century, so we figured we'd do something special. Spending money on vacation, as opposed to spending money at home! :ROFLMAO:

Anyway, hope you all have a good day. I highly doubt I'll be able to catch up on what I missed. It's like 30 pages!
