The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Okay, Little Missy, it's Lecture Time:

Before climbing on tub decks et al, check those window glasses to make certain that the glass is tempered. Your house is likely new enough so that they are. The windows will have that little seal in one corner like the safety glass in your cars does. It they are NOT safety glass, you keep your girlie ass off the tub deck and get Insured Professional Goofs to do it. Reason why: I knew a guy once - built his house according to codes of the time - and he fell on the tub deck and stuck a hand through the window, doing permanent nerve damage and losing use of a couple of fingers. Don't be like N.
Well, we went from MOM to MISSY right quick, didn't we???

Windows are triple pane and tempered! Tub deck is dry and wide. I also have a half wall to use for balance. The other side of the tub has a full wall so I'm probably going to put the step-stool into the tub and hang the other nest that way.

A friend suggested tying the fishing line to the nest directly then hanging it from the hook above the window frame. I did that and like the look. This will make it easier to hang the second nest. Here's a pic of it hanging. I haven't cut off the extra line yet.

So part of getting the boys ready is simple discipline… put your bum on the ground and keep it there until I tell you to move it. In this case we have all five parked, including Will who is becoming part of the pack. At only. 6 months it’s good to see him like this as it’s quite a lot for a young dog with the big boys.
Gorgeous picture, G!😍 Both the boys and the setting! And way to go for young Will! Running with the big dogs! 🥰🥰

What a day! The weather was spectacular: 80 and sunny w low humidity.

We had a leisurely morning and breakfast out in the back patio. Around 11 we got down to the farm and I rounded several ash trees that had fallen. Then loaded em up in our trailer and took em down to the splitter. Probably enough for 1.25 cords.

Then the lawn in town and now back to where we started: chilling on the patio listening to music.
Productive day! 🥰

I had a productive day today. I got fishing line tied to the second hummingbird nest. I might hang it tomorrow or I might wait till my housekeeper comes this week.

Then I baked. I made energy balls for my trainer. Technically not baking but still a bit of work. I just generally throw in stuff she likes, form into balls, then roll them in protein powder so they're not sticky. I usually make big balls; I can get about 16 from one bowl. However, my trainer is in training herself for a bodybuilding competition and is watching her macros very closely. We talked about it on Friday and decided I would make mini balls. So, I got about 80 balls from one bowl.

Here they are ready for the freezer:

I also made chocolate cheesecake bars with chocolate mint ganache topping. I'll bring some with me on Tuesday for my trainer's fiance.

I'm tired now. Maybe I should try to get to bed early-ish? Yeah, right! 😅🤣

Have a great start to your week, everyone! 💕✨💞
