Thank you . I had already read it prior to posting this one. It doesn't answer the question of what, if anything, we are going to be required by the administration team here to access this site, so until we know, the uncertainty remains.

We have a recent precedent for what will happen, perhaps: two years ago the UK finance regulator required all crypto platforms worldwide to not market to UK residents. Initially this was met with ridicule but they followed through, sent thousands of letters to each and every platform, with enforcement action, eg contact their hosts or cloud providers etc. Today it's hard to find a platform that has not geoblocked UK access or has crafted a subsite with compliant service.

Now, the comms regulator, might or might not have the same might, as the task is much bigger and complex. But I guess the larger and less decentralised you operate the easier it is for them to turn the screws to ensure compliance, unless you are the size of. FB or X and end up negotiating at government level.

For Lit I would think that remaining VPN tolerant and putting a geoblock in should do the trick without affecting UK users too much. We might have to put 'Siberia' in our profile lol. A bit like how we all work with China's firewall when travelling the country, with the difference that UK will not build such a wall but try to get providers to put measures in place.

Just my tuppence, I am no expert and no inside knowledge.

You are welcome to come to the UK and experience it for yourself. It is enforced. It has happening and, as I have mentioned elsewhere, this the only NSFW site that I can still access. All others that I used to access are now blocked unless you comply with age verfication requirements.

Just get a VPN, thousands are selling here everyday! They are talking about banning them as well now....which proves it's about control, not safety!

There are no restrictions and there are no plans to outlaw vpns in the UK. However it is a criminal offence to use one to bypass online safety restrictions I.e. giving access to a minor for illegal use.
