Power(s): Ports at Call- Gregor can create portals that transport objects and individuals over fixed distances. He’s also a very skilled navigator and nearly as strong as a bear.
Curse: Keeping portals open requires focus and attention, the further the distance, the more focus required. Passage through is also not quite instantaneous and if the portals were to close with something or someone, on neither side they could cease to exist, or have their limbs or body severed. It can be very dangerous and used only in emergencies.
Personality: Gregor is stern and takes his duty as Captain very seriously. He is also responsible for preserving the ENDF’s moral standards—though he takes this duty much less seriously. His responsibilities include enforcement of uniform code (which he only really takes seriously during disembarkations) and observance of Maritime Law. While he has little to no involvement with the school, aside from occasionally teaching a graduate level navigation course, he is the absolute authority aboard the Astralis. If something went wrong, he is honor-bound to go down with the ship—so he has no sense of humor about matters on the bridge or in the brig. The vessel is his life.

Establishing the Uniform Code:
I love everything about what’s happening. The scene is set, I just kinda made things overly complicated with the T plus clock (though I remain pleased with myself over that detail), it’s unclear when exactly we are, and the late inclusion of uniforms has left our ensembles to vagueries.
So, I’m going to make a decision and say it’s a Monday afternoon. School is in session, so students would be wearing some iteration of their uniforms. School faculty and staff dress as they please. The Captain and Bridge crew would be wearing the Reverie Ensemble. All crew (including faculty) would have these uniforms, but faculty would only wear them at formal events like graduations, weddings, diplomatic meetings with high-rank officials. All non-students are technically military personnel as AA is a government mandated program, the Astralis is a military vessel and each voyage is considered a combat mission.

It is presently lunch time, which is why everyone is milling around—and since these Gifted students enjoy lives of leisure, their lunch is 3 hours long.

Just to be clear - Lyra is dressed in her pleated grey school skirt with bike shorts beneath, wearing trainers on her feet and just her white school blouse with two buttons not done at the top. She's wearing a white t shirt bra beneath, every girl needs a little support if they're gonna fly

~ I based these on the Fates of Greek Mythology and gave them modern twists. I also made them male, the original Fates were female ~
THE THREADBOYS (mocking nickname used by other students)
Real Codename: The Moiraium (Left - Atreus, Middle - Clovis, Right - Lachlan)
These three are biologically unrelated, but share a psychic tether—three halves of the same metaphysical force. They always know where the other two are. Their powers complement and sometimes conflict with one another. Some professors believe they are reincarnations or avatars of the true Moirai.
1. CLOVIS (CLOTHO - The Spinner)
Codename: Twine
Power: Can create, manipulate, and “spin” timelines into existence—short-term probability shaping (e.g., increasing the chance someone trips, causes lightning to strike, etc.).
Combat Use: Buffs allies, destabilizes opponents’ actions by changing immediate futures.
Causality Collapse – Clovis can only spin threads tied to the current moment. If he tries to influence too far ahead or tangle too many threads at once, they start to collapse on themselves, creating unpredictable feedback loops that affect his memory, perception, or even erase small events from recent reality (people forget things that did happen—including him).
Personality: The most charming and socially adept. He’s a flirt, a manipulator, and loves causing chaos just to see what unravels. Constantly tries to provoke Lyra and flirts with Bobby just to get under her skin.
Style: Always wears gloves—his touch “starts” possibilities.
2. LACHLAN (LACHESIS – The Measurer)
Codename: Caliber
Power: Measures the span and weight of someone’s current life-thread—can perceive how long someone has to live (or how long they should live), and can amplify or diminish that thread's density (making them more fragile, or temporarily resilient).
Combat Use: Defensive powerhouse; shields allies or makes enemies brittle as glass. His abilities are always passive—he “balances” outcomes.
Empathic Burn – Every time Lachlan uses his power, he’s emotionally tethered to the subject for the duration. The more he strengthens or weakens someone, the more of their suffering, hope, fear, or guilt he absorbs. If used too often, he goes into emotional overload, becoming incapacitated by feelings that aren’t his.
Personality: Stoic, focused, deeply ethical. Always in tension with his brothers because he sees the cost of every action. Often paired with Lyra in ethical debates.
Style: Wears a timepiece around his neck; it doesn’t tell time—it ticks when someone’s thread is thinning.
3. ATREUS (ATROPOS – The Cutter)
Codename: Sever
Power: Can sever a person’s timeline completely—short bursts that erase decisions, undo injuries, or—at full strength—erase someone from a moment (or potentially existence).
Combat Use: Finisher. Dangerous and forbidden to go full power—he’s not fully trained.
Irreversibility Trauma – Atreus can’t always control how much of a thread he severs. If he slips - emotionally, mentally, or under pressure - he risks erasing more than he meant to. This has left him paranoid, restrained, and sometimes even afraid of his own touch. Once something is cut, it can’t be retrieved.
Personality: Quiet, intense, unsettling. Speaks in riddles or not at all. Friend to Vince because fear of loss leads him to isolate, he rarely acts unless forced because when he does, it's usually brutal and final.
Style: Always has shears on his belt—not metaphorical. They hum when death is nearby.
Shared Traits:
When they’re together, reality bends slightly—hallways echo wrong, people feel watched, dice roll funny.
Shared Weakness: When separated too long, their powers become unstable and even dangerous.
People joke that they finish each other's sentences (they sometimes do).
Rumors say that if you kill one, the others will rewrite you out of guilt or vengeance (fun tidbit).
