Best pizza I had was a one-time special on a local joint's menu: roasted garlic pizza
Yep - just a cute, little 10" pizza with red sauce, cheese, and covered quite liberally with whole roasted garlic cloves.
It was magnificent. Not sure my tummy could handle that much garlic today - even roasted.

OMG - yes. I miss that pillow to this day. There are still some you can buy but they're a slightly different design.

That's the new buzz phrase where I work. It's going to end up being one of those phrases that makes me cringe every time I hear it.

The Green Mill restaurant chain introduced a new pizza a few years ago. Wild Mushroom with Green Onion
Well, I love mushrooms but not green onions. So I made my own version.

Wheat crust
Light alfredo sauce w/ a bit of garlic puree instead of red sauce
Roasted, sliced mushrooms: mix w/ Carmelized Onion & Cilantro infused EVOO
Sliced, roased brussels sprouts w/ Mushroom & Sage infused EVOO
Shredded mozzarella cheese

Par cook the crust, then pierce with fork all over
lightly top with sauce
add mushrooms
add brussels sprouts
top with cheese
bake 350F

Let sit for a few minutes before cutting
then let the begin

Hand tossed, NY style, and pretzel style crusts are yummy, too. But there's just something about that crunch with a good thin crust.
