I got it in five, too, but it took me all day, with the letters just percolating in the back of my mind.
I think I got stumped for so long because, if I get two vowels at the beginning, I don't think about checking for that one vowel not in the first word.
Is this thinking too much about this silly game?

It's very easy to overthink Wordle!

Luckily today after I played stare as my first word, I went with basis as my second word - that's unusual for me as I tend to avoid words with repeated letters that early on, and looking back I'm surprised I didn't try basin or basic or something like that!

Anyway, had one S in the right place, knew there was another S and an A in the mix, knew it couldn't be a *ASS* word (that's amused me more than it should 😂😂) and guessed right on my 3rd word!
