Hello,

So I submitted a story (all be a mammoth of one over 500 pages) about a week ago. It's still sitting pending. Anybody I should poke?

Three seems to be a bit of a blockage at present. But after a week, I’d consider messaging @Laurel the site co-owner and, as far as anyone knows, the only reviewer of submissions.

You can DM Laurel, the story reviewer, here in the forums. She often does not respond to such messages, but if the delay is for technical problems then your story may get published. A number of threads by people experiencing waits of two weeks or more suggests that there is a backlog, though, and she may just not have had a chance to get to it yet.

500 pages is quite ambitious.

My longest here is 322 MS Word pages, which translates into 81 pages on Literotica. As an audio book, it is almost 17 hours long. If Laurel is reviewing your story, it might take her a while to get through it.

I can give it another week. Took me a year to write the damn thing; another week or so isn't that bad.

Took about a year to write, started writing the day I deleted my old account lol.

You should give it as long as it needs to get screened. There's no-one to chase except Laurel, and she's going to give something that long the same scrutiny any other story gets. I wouldn't think a 500 page document is going to go through in a hurry.

Sorry for the dumb question, but how do you know it's about five hundred pages? Is that like an estimate based of word count?

Back to topic. Yeah, one more week and hope for the best. If a month goes by and you haven't made edits and bumped it to the back of the queue, but it's still stuck after that, that there might be some sort of hang up you can find out about. Then hopefully it can be resolved on either Lit's side of things, or yours, depending on issue. Best of luck.

Google Docs will tell you how many pages as you scroll down. It was so long when I tried to use Grammarly it derped out lol.
