Ghislaine Maxwell Pardon Watch-Place Your Bets

her lawyers haven't yet publicly decided whether or not to acquiesce to the subpoena, no doubt holding out for something concrete.

personally, I'll be surprised if trump issues a pardon so directly, given the monumental backlash it has to engender... more likely, imo, that an announcement will happen of an overturning of her sentence on the grounds of the agreement made with epstein when he first got his sweetheart deal. They'll make noises about a retrial, which will drag on and on while she walks free, only for it to be announced at a later date that the DOJ has decided to drop the case for 'reasons'. This way trump can keep his hands clean and claim the independence of the DOJ even as he blames it.
She already has immunity for her testimony to the DoJ.

47 is desperately seeking a release and it seems this piece of shit, Maxwell, is their way of drawing that blood.

I anticipate she'll get a pardon by the end of the week.

I've read

'limited immunity'. Does anyone know what this actually means in reality?

Trump is shameless enough to pardon her and his cult will undoubtedly find a way to rationalize it, but he would have to see something in it for him. I doubt if he does.
I’m sure they offered her a pardon in exchange for her testimony that Trump didn’t do anything wrong.

Trump could pardon Maxwell and just not announce it. And he could get the Roberts court to set her free “pending her appeal”

My guess is that maxwells attorneys are going to want something in writing and some concrete action before perjuring herself in front of a Congressional committee

posted in other thread but it belongs here, too:

"Well, I'm allowed to give her a pardon but nobody's approached me with it, nobody's asked me about it," Trump told reporters when asked about the possibility. "It's in the news about that—that aspect of it, but right now it would be inappropriate to talk about it," he said.

so since he's reiterating the pardon thing, it's clearly part of a drip drip drip of ideas aimed at magats to get it into their heads 'well, he's allowed to.' What's almost more disturbing is the wording 'but right now it would be inappropriate to talk about it.' That leaves it entirely open to becoming an appropriate topic to discuss openly at a later date.

The play is clear:
Mike Johnson says Ghislaine Maxwell coming clean on Epstein case would be ‘a great service to the country’

Bondi and Hatch are going to meet with Maxwell to see what she knows about trump and Epstein. Will they buy her silence with a presidential pardon? Would that be seen as witness tampering? Or simply be a presidential act for national security.
How about what she knows about Clinton? At least The Royals have shunned Prince Andrew into the shadows. Maybe Trump AND Clinton can join him.

1. She names ONLY trumps enemies
2. In return she gets sentence commuted, not pardoned.
3. A few select interviews doubling down on enemies, mostly true and deserving as well as some embellishments, while ignoring trumps circle.
4. She suddenly dies.

Fine by me. If they broke the law let the chips fall. Though I believe James Patterson did a deep dive on the Epstein/Clinton connection and he found nothing close to incriminating on Clinton.
I do remember that book. Just Bill getting his picture taken in crowds of Epstein girls.

Maxwell’s supreme court filing argues that Epstein’s 2007 plea deal with federal prosecutors in Florida should have barred her prosecution.

The controversial 2007 plea agreement between Epstein and the justice department said that if Epstein followed the terms of the plea agreement, the US government would not charge “any potential co-conspirators of Epstein”, including “but not limited to” four co-conspirators. Maxwell is not one of the four co-conspirators named in the agreement, but her attorneys say she did not need to be named to receive the protection from that deal.
Maxwell’s legal team is asking the supreme court to review the case, arguing that the federal plea deal signed in Florida should have been respected in New York.

The justice department, for its part, previously argued that the Florida plea deal did not extend to other federal districts, including the southern district of New York, where Maxwell was eventually tried and sentenced.
epstein got his 'sweetheart deal' in, what, 2007? So that was under Bush... it was the first trump-term DOJ, under Bill Barr, that arrested epstein in 2019. Did they botch things so badly that SCOTUS could, in fact, be obliged legally to overturn the conviction and leave it open for New York to go for a retrial or dismissal? The article says most federal cases are settled through plea agreements... I'm wondering how often the situation happens where one state prosecutes a person who received such immunity via another and that is successful, or a case overturned post sentencing because of the same thing. Has it happened before, or would this set a precedent?

Trump's lawyer will visit her holding a 'Get out of jail' card.

Maxwell will hand him a 'Get out of jail' card to give to Trump.

She and her lawyer are doing exactly what any sane person would do.....set conditions.

She's lied before and will perjur herself again. She's a disgraceful piece of shit that deserves to rot in prison

Ghislaine Maxwell Offers Trump TV Spectacle in Exchange for Clemency

Jeffrey Epstein’s co-conspirator says she’s willing to testify publicly, if Donald Trump just helps her out first

House Oversight Committee rejects Ghislaine Maxwell's request for immunity in exchange for her testimony

her lawyers' letter said she'd not be opening herself up to potential further 'criminal exposure' in today's political climate without assurances of total immunity, and that it would place her testimony at risk of being leaked if they questioned her in prison. So no immunity=she'll plead the fifth. They also request further questioning holds off till SCOTUS has made a ruling on her case.

Well, Gizzy has cushier prison now
Low security to low security? Better for her or easier to silence her ? https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna222497

And Trump no longer appears in the files
Why look for his name and then leave it there ??

Nothing to see here.. on Trump now!!

The high profile sex offender is now in a minimal security prison that doesn’t even guard the front gate.

Seems like the administration is practically inviting a conspiracy loon to walk in and shoot her?

The employees described security as being generally lax: While there is chain-link fencing around the property, there is no security at the gate to stop people from getting on the grounds.
